i dont understand wht is wrong with the lyrics we hav in cantonese song these days.

Everytime we need to try to guess wht they lyricist is trying to say and deliver.

Woudnt it be better if they can express the meaning of this song with better words?

this kinda lyrics are open interpretations, which it has its benefits...but indeed, it's harder in my opinion to come up with vague lyrics, and actually fit into situations...i dont htink lyrcis ruined this song, just try to understand the song from a different perspective, u might find something else

did you remember hacken used to wrote great songs and lyrics like 红日,大會堂演奏廳 etc, songs back in those days are nice and simple and also hav a deep deep meaning inside it as well, a while ago in the cash singing competition one of the judges 顧嘉煇 he was saying that he doesnt understand why pepole these days write lyrics using words that people hav trouble understanding it. remember the song that was written by wong jim 明星 its simple but also it;s has deep meaning!

the reason why songs in the 80's to the 90's are great was because we hav good lyricist like wong jim, 林振強,鄭國江 and alot more the songs that they wrote all hav deep meanings which inspired many many hk people back then. having a deep meaning inside a song is important but also delivering the message is important as well and those lyricist did their job perfectly!
