@Santeora I spend a couple of hours tuning my drums before recording these videos to try and get my drums to sound as tight and controlled as possible. Sometimes I can't get everything sounding the way I want, so I sample replace some of my drums (mostly kick and toms) with samples I custom-made for my recordings so I can maintain a more consistent sound. Hope this helps!

@AlphaDee I do enjoy this album, but not as much as Rareform. To me, Rareform was a masterpiece. In Dreams is a definitely a more accessible album for newcomers, and I'm assuming that's what they were trying to go for

@eyerecorddrums Yeah, the problem for me with Rareform was that it was a bit like "Look, we can do sweeps and breakdowns with funny time signatures!" and such... so I like In Dreams more, because it's more song oriented album, if you know what I mean.

Hey nice sound! Did you eq the overhead mics??

@Kevinkoch2443 Just a little. I put a high shelf eq around 12K and boosted it about 3db, and then I used a hi-pass set around 300HZ, since I didn't want any of the low-end mud to get through in the overheads.
