i tried to put Team Fortress in and i get to the main screen with single player and multiplayer and on the top it says team fortress over the top. when i try to create a multiplayer, ithas deathmatch and coop as types of play, and the least amount of players is 10

the game starts load when i begin and progs/v_spike.mdl is not found. what can i do?

LOL at all the -'s for my comments, i'd like to say that i'm not disputing that this guy is a genius, and i am very thankful, as should everyone else be, that he spent all the time he did making this happen, I was just saying that his instructions were unessesarily complicated.

i cant get it to run and i did the same command lines as shown on the instructions for mods

the second problem we had, took absolutely ages to sort out, and it was to do with the dldi thingy, if you'd just said "go here (link) download the patching software win32 gui and then the dldi that corresponds to your particular flash card

now the first problem we had, was actually knowing which files to download, that was solved without to much fuss by searching through and re-reading

#2 You need pak files to make this game work, you can either

A-take them from the original pc game if you have it available

B-take them from the shareware version (link)

the pak files are located in the id1 folder

#3 you need a config file for the controls (link)

lol, erm, well when me and my friend came to the site all of the downloads together is a bit daunting, if it had been set out more like this

#1 download the version you would like

A-Single player only (link)

B-Multiplayer (link)

C-Game for those with an expansion pak (link)

I've finally gotten this to work now (the faq on getting started must be one of the worst faqs i've ever read) but I really can't work out how to get any mods/conversions/skins to work with quake ds at all. I can get custom levels up but none of them seem to have textures.

just fyi, if this is the guy who made quakeds, its being updated constantly. he just made a wifi build with virtual keyboard support. its pretty sweet, im pretty sure hes working on getting access to the extra ram on flash cards, and fixing the sprites.. also hes working on quake 2 :P wow...
