i tried it, but for some reason, the wormhole doesn't get bigger over time, after i put one small mask and one large mask, one at the beginning, on at the end.

And no the keyframes are not set to hold.

Why is audio (most of it) only from right?

strange..just played it after reading a couple of comments and the audio is both left and right in my headphones and on the laptop speakers. Audio is a bit quieter in a couple of places as I moved the mic position but I seem to have full stereo watching it on YT..gremlins at work!

If you go to the Video Fx tab and select colour curves, there is a preset for 'Night' which is not bad. You can select the individual red,blue and green channels to alter it to get the effect you want. Hope that helps :)

rich i got a question why do you use the envolope thing with nodes instead of just grabbing the end of the opacity line and dragging it in a bit?

Just personal choice. You can get good control using the envelopes to fade up and down over differing time periods. Using the opacity line sets a 'linear' fade. Also it introduces a feature for people that may not know it's there :)

not really, any effect you need to do that isn't drag and drop takes work. Remember once you have set the effect you can always save that project as a template for whenever you may want to use it again so you don't have to repaeat all the work :)

hi ratuse! those textures are really useful and underused. The good thing about them is if you get a setting you really like you can save them as a pre-set to use again. I have the 'predator' liquidy type thing stored as a pre-set :)

Yup, I used a combo of both to pull off that logo out of the blood effect I did in the "Captivating" commercial you saw on my fatsheamus site.

That cloud texture also came in quite handy for introducing some extra drifting mist in the special features menu of one of those DVD's I sent over.

But yeah, that predator effect you came up with is so universally useful! Possibly the best innovation youve ever come up with.

good idea but then if you list all the settings and people use them verbatum it doesn't encourage people to experiment and explore what each setting does and create effects to suit their taste. The idea of the tut is mainly to give the technique on which people can experiment. Altough I fully take your point though :)

Made a vid the other day about getting the camera it's a Panasonic 1080 HD with Hard drive. Was tempted by the Sony but my old one was Sony and the new ones haven't kept up with the HD encoding :)

Can you make a heat blur tutorial. Like what you see comming out of the back of a jet engine. PLEASE!

you know the 'height map' composite level used in this one (and in the predator effect tutorial) You can use that to create a heat haze effect by playing with the settings. Just mask any old texture in the shape you want and set composite to height map. ;)
