Verizon is better i am sorry, look at the maps, try going to Montana or anywhere in central America and see what loads faster. Plus, how many devices can work of iPad wifi+3g... oh yeah, NONE. What about Mifi? FIVE!!! And the only difference is just a few seconds. You tell me what is better in the long run.
AT&T Inc. on Wednesday said it's on track to launch its own 4G network this summer. Also, it said it will start calling its current 3G network "4G," since it's been upgraded to be capable of nearly 4G speeds.
in the second test you started the 3g one before the wifi one so it should have been a draw or maybe the wifi one should have won. ha lol the wifi one beat the 3g in the everythingipad test and you make it sound like you were surprised. why should the 3g one be faster??
Poor comparison test. A real test would be to go to random points in the coverage areas and see how reliable either connection is. I know in Orlando the AT&T coverage is like swiss cheese while I have yet to find gaps with Verizon. Also, the MiFi allows you to connect 5 devices simultaneously including your iPad.
@SlashGear Still not worth it. The 3G version should be like 50 more, not 130. Also this is service, service varies. In your area ATT may be better, but in many areas Verizon may be.
wow, biased much?

Um, in test 2, the 3G one only finished first because you tapped the link quite a bit earlier. Comparison at that point is not fair.

i dont think $300 more is comparable to 3 seconds of browser speed.
infrinous19 1 year ago
@infrinous19 you gotta multiply the 3 seconds by probably more than 100, ur not paying $300 every time browsing.
NixKah 1 year ago
@infrinous19 incorrect, wifi+3g is only $130 more over wifi model.
