Hello, RayB- Thanks for the thanks.....the words I sing to the chorus are: Foldy-roldy-tildy-tolly-seek-a­-double-use-a-cause-a-roll-o'b­indin. As such it has no real meaning, but probably started out as a reference to sewing or mending, or quilting? (Roll 'o binding). We used to "bind" the edges of our new quilts just off the frame. Jean

Pete is very much alive and living in the Hudson River valley, near Beacon, NY. And, at 88, he sings just fine for me! I would assume that all of his works are nicely archived since he is the son of a musicologist and an archivist himself.

I don't know him, but have known OF him for a long time. He a founder of the Clearwater Foundation, promoting a clean Hudson River and a sailing boat called Clearwater. Go to clearwater DOT org for info. They have a 2-day festival every year (June 21-22 in 2008) around Beacon, NY. As long as he can still do so, Pete attends & performs. I plan on going up this year. Some of the last chances to see a true living legend.
