That's not actually crashing sounds...its the sounds of an emergency stop. All power from the engine being cut back to 0, and the air brakes engaging.

It's triggered by a drop in power running through the rails. These locos are all DCC-ready, but not DCC-equipped.

I'm not entirely sure how the sound units work. It's on board the locomotive and comes built-in from the factory. It's only my assumption that it's based on rail voltage...I can't imagine how else it could work.

Next time use Fun tack (blue putty) to secure the cam to the flat car I tried it and works perfectly, no more crashing cam during the best part of the film.

Live in San Diego actually. And it doesn't get damaged/stolen for a few reasons - one being this is a nice neighborhood, and another being that everything is either cemented/bolted to the ground, and what isn't is removed when not in use (particularly the trains)
