  • Wow, some dodges are quite nice!!

  • Capoeira can work as a martial art, and you can fight against anybody, the thing is that you are not going to do any ginga in a real fight! (plus it dependes on the technique you have too, because many groups are not so focus on the fight, others are more involved on the floreios-acrobatics, or show style.)

  • não só o papaleguas mas como poncianinho tbm

  • feio nada! O papa-léguas joga muito!

  • jogo feio!!!

  • i really dont know if capoeira is a marcial art or not

does it work fighting against a karate guy?

  • Awesome jogo!

  • the second guy mstr p plays is contra-mestre casquinha! nice video.

  • yes mestre!

  • that is my mestre, from cordao de ouro london. it was taken during batizado, my 2nd belt

  • how long does it usually take to move up a belt?

  • depends on how fast you learn and how much you practice... batizados are held once a year or twice a year... the colour of the cord shouldn't be what you're worrying about though, I've seen plenty of people who have a 1st cord and play like a graduate

  • ahh yes. it's the skills that matter =]

but i was j/w if all the batizado are held once a year

  • as far as i'm aware CDO in london have two a year... a few other schools do as well, although it's unlikely you'll move up a cord every six months... the higher you get the longer it takes, but then you can also skip cords as well

  • i guess it all depends on how strict the group is. or how active it is.

  • Excelent!

  • I love it, good demostration of capoiera
