I just adore this simple version of yours, Elizabeth, with your piano accompaniment. Your voice is perfectly suited to English Folk Music.

So go ahead, have your career of modern pop, but somewhere, maybe in a quiet year ahead, i would love to buy an album of yours with Red Red Rose, Barbara Allen, Linden Lea, and even a couple of American Classics like Homeward Bound and Shenandoah.

I just love this song. I first heard it about a year ago at a Jr. High competition that my daughter was in. Those kids did a great job, but with all the nerves and everything, well you know . . .

So we came home and found this on youtube and have enjoyed it ever since. Elizabeth has that effortless style (that comes only after much effort, Im sure!). Now we know how the song was meant to sound. Beautiful job on a beautiful song.
