It's hard to have a nice discussion on gaming nowadays without opinions being forced down your throat. :/ God forbid we all like something different. Then there are the people that hate on games because they're popular, and totally look down on anyone who likes said games. Someone once looked down on me because I said I liked Halo or COD. Then they're opinion changed when I said I liked Fallout or Disgaea. It's stupid I tell ya'.

I buy games that I want to play, the only RPG I've ever bought was Fable : TLC, and I've pre-ordred Fable 2.

Forums suck. Period. They suck. Especially when a moderator gets involved and ESPECIALLY when there's a bleeper that cuts out profanity. People who have a problem with profanity are psychologically damaged.

What you'll also realize is these elitists will start calling you elitist. They'll use every straw man tactic up their sleeve and most of the time don't even know what they're talking about when it comes to game development.

There are a lot of good games but I think the best ones are the ones you can tell stories about and makes everyone laugh their ass off. I rarely ever bother with RPGs anymore as they're way too long and time consuming and are usually really repetitive.

I'm not opposed to RPGs. I enjoy them quite a bit. Just not the heavily Japanese/anime ones. The folks I was talking about seemed to think that 75% of a gamers collection should be RPGs.

Went a bit downhill after 3 though.

@GrilledMonkeyFat I tend to go now for arpg because i don't like a lot of the new jrpgs.

I played ff7 and up and i started to become more and more disappointed with the franchise itself and disillusioned.I have been playing a mmorpg right now lately but it probably won't last.I like true rpgs,not mexican soap operas level drama fest.I can only take so much drama and ff7 and and games like metal gear solid 4 just take it to a new level.Oh and i don't care for fps games.

@VSXIII I also got annoyed by how every new jrpg is just a bunch of anime stereotype linear interactive movies.

One thing i hate about some games,is interactive movies.

FFXIII is an interactive button masher movie and Mgs 4 is a interactive movie.

Another thing that pisses me off is linearity and boring dialogue that go on and on.

I'm like:Can't you tell the characters story in detail and still have good fucking gameplay? who the fuck cares about graphics.

I like how the argument from the anime players seems to revolve around, "see look, I don't play such pedestrian games as Halo 3" when those titles are probably fairly mainstream from their native development country. That doesn't equate to quality. I like finding rare gems of games on occasion, but enjoy the blockbusters, they usually have a good reason for their sales records.

Also, I like getting Jade Empire for $7 at a gamestop. And I didn't have to pay for $20-30 for shipping
