Thanks guys,am from Memphis,tn.I used to go to the Peabody Hotel in the early 1990's and a striped down version of Booker T.and the M.G.'s would play there. The show was free to the public, and Donald"Duck"Dunne would "whip da'Bass".When they got good and warmed up.It was all "white-boys"in da' band;but they played that funky music......Have an outstanding day,Crazy Patti

i am not trying to get clicks or something. its not even my video. but i dont know howelse to find the song i am searching. please check out the video, listen to 0:25 and tell me, if you know the song i am looking for. Thank you very much
@MrPeterified LOLLLL!!!! O man...2 steps ahead of ya...lol. Trust me its the SICKEST song you could listen to. It has become the theme song of being on shrooms for me thats why i rarely listen to it when im not on shrooms anymore...ull know what i mean lolll. I listen to it when im ripped tho sometimes, like now ahaha :)
I feel as though I should be walking outside in the city while its raining, while wearing a khaki trench coat and fedora. And I will be walking into the diner where I sit down at the counter and Rosemary the waitress pours coffee for me for 2 hours.
Classic. Thank you. Saw a go-go dancer back then do a thing to this (a dance thing--easy, sportsfans) with special lighting, etc. Never forgot it. Call me, darlin' --i'm still in love with you.
I remember when I was young , my uncle had this . I would lay on the floor and let it repeat until I fell asleep . It was my uncle who turned me onto Jazz music . I can't listen to that crap they play nowadays . THANKS FOR POSTING !!! This is the one I was looking for , just couldn't remember the name of it .
@blootmens I'll tell you why, people got ignorant, and record companies took advantage of it. Nowadays they're pushing artists on us who have no talent and who everyone hates i.e. rebecca black. they just keep giving these attention wanting hacks more and more money, and they just keep punching out junk music... why? because people will listen to it that's why.
@blootmens Because there hasn't been any "education" of the next generations... There are no more good waiters, service stations, hardware stores, grocers, independent music stores, or independent anything really, anymore. The de-education of the people is almost complete... We have kids protesting in the street because they have been told it will be a great moment to remember when they get old. They have no idea what to protest. Just that it is finally bad enough to get people into the streets.
If you are referring to the protests of the crisis of today, you can't deny that there is something fundamentally wrong with the society of today and the way it works. Economy depends on the fact that there is infinite growth, but we forget that we live on a finite planet. Economy is destroying us humans. I don't mind the protests. However, I cannot deny that there are a lot of jackasses who don't know for what they're protesting and just do what the rest does.
@blootmens I am referring to the Occupy protests. I am a supporter of the movement. I just find many youth who are unaware of the real reasons we all OUGHT to be angry about.
@blootmens Because you have a lot of no-talent individuals who are passing themselves off as "musicians", when a lot of them don't even write their own music. I don't know how to explain it, but most of the music today is just really crappy and I'll continue to stick with the classics: Motown, Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, just to name a few.
@blootmens why are you so stupit? do you hear todays blues, folk or whatever? no you always talk about this justin bieber crap but thats not the whole music of nowdays. do you think everyone have listen to booker t? i guess as much as today...
Music is as good nowdays as it ever was. It is just that fewer people play it nowdays. Those that do play "music" are being squeezed out of mainstream media broadcasting by "noise" makers.
That is the way the power people (Rothschilds and their NWO sicko mates) want it.
Noise numbs the brain and destroys the soul......Music nutures the mind and soothes the soul.
This is the shit. No listen. THIS. IS THE SHIT. Turn it up and get MAD lost in those subtle nuances, sonnn! Blues and soul combined to make one hell of an experience. This is the kind of stuff I live to love and love to live.
WoW ! So nice to hear this song. A few months ago, I mentioned this song to my neighbors' teenage kids recently as they were enjoying the movie 'The Blues Brothers' and had no idea of Cropper and Dunn and Booker T... now I can't dust this stuff off fast enough for these kids :) I didn't have Summertime.
They love Soul-Classic Rock & Roll-R & B....all the good stuff before Rap.
@xXMcMuffinXx1 That's just not true though is it. Everyone has a different opinion and it's comments like that that piss everyone off. You don't have to be middle aged to appreciate a masterpiece
@bedward93 There wont be many teenagers listening to this......My point is that im glad i listen to this kind of muic instead of this new age shit they call music! I dont care if someone is 50 and listening to this, thats not my point!
@xXMcMuffinXx1 Did I suggest you care if "someone is 50 and listening to this"? I'm saying everyone is entitled to an opinion and this "new age shit" may not be your first choice but other people clearly enjoy it so there is really no need to comment on it at all because that's not anything to do with this video. It's really just pointless and there are thousands of comments like that everyday, the same applies to remarks about Justin Beiber.
@bedward93 I dont go for thumbs up like those other people im just telling it how it is! Couldnt give a shit if someone mentions Justin Bieber in a video! Im only stateing that there are few teenagers that listen to this! Stop over looking comments! And making pointless disagreements about FUCK ALL!
@xXMcMuffinXx1 I'm not starting disagreements I'm saying comments should be relevant to the video. Yours was just another generic, annoying comment stating how old you are and how terribly original that is. I'm being liberal for saying that it's your opinion modern music is a waste of time and that it doesn't really matter here anyway. Don't get mad because you can't maintain a good argument.
@bedward93 Wow.....Dont read the comments then, You will probably get a "Generic comment" in every video! Mine was'nt intentional to be one of those comments! I said it because thats what i think! If it's true or not i dont care!
its sorta almost sad sounding, yet also sorta happy, its weird to explain how i feel when i listen. all i can say is its definately worth listening to
