It has only been running at half power for the last 2 years 3.5 TEV (trillion electron volts).  They plan to to crank it up to full power 7 KEV at the end of 2012. We shall see .

I do agree with you as this is pretty much my own opinion towards the opinion I am getting from you. I doubt it is possible to create a black hole as of yet, and as this was a few years ago I only read about a few deaths caused about this. I guess it could be apart of another conspiracy theory as it was used to cause money sales.

Something's gonna happen in or around 2012, if not natural manmade. But astrologically it's the end of the age, that's why the calender stops from my understanding. But alot of prophets throughout the years have pinpointed 2012, so who knows? If the current pope dies we got problems haha. One of the predictions says only one more pope, maybe Nostradamous? But no one really knows anyway so speculating about it is pointless. There's so many theories on both sides, all have gaping holes.

A Hadron collider would be to prefer instead of a hydron collider, since all it possibly could do is colliding water instead of sub atomic particles that you really want to collide. :P

As Lenneth said, no one knows how a blackhole is created. It is only logical theory and some facts to back up the theory that point out that a Star with enough magnitude can create a blackhole when the Star collapses... The LHC is only renacting this method of implosion on a smaller scale.

You never mentioned the problem of the mini black holes. What if a black hole is formed? Yes, many people think it'll vanish in seconds, but what if it doesnt and it ends up draining all the matter in the earth? The experiment with protons is risking the life of the whole world. Sure, these scientists must be genious, but every human makes mistakes right? [This DOESNT mean that I think that we will die, I think there are some probabilities that we'll die]
