  • buff, vaya subidón de tema! que sonidazos... me tengo que pillar un Telemark YA

  • This is really awesome. Thumbs up.

  • love that semblace sound.. does it do chords?

  • Being a monofonic synthesizer, the semblance isn't able to do chords. Of course, you can use the tuning of its second oscillator to create chord-a-like sound (e.g. 7th, 5th), but if you want to create more complex (dis-)harmonic structures, you have to record several tracks.

  • I'm about two inches from pulling the trigger on a SEMblance. Just curious, other than the drums, is there anything that wasn't done on the SEMblance?

  • The leadsound in the middle part of the track was done by a special version of the DIY 303 clone ML 303 V5.

Just a recommendation: If you're thinking about buying a Semblance, why don't you wait until its successor, the Telemark, is available?

Btw. after about 4 years of using the Semblance, I'm still content with its broad, organic sound and possibilities.

  • Huh. Think my response may have disappeared. Anywho, I got this thing and I think you may have been right in that I probably should have just waited on the Telemark. Man, the modulations on the SEMblance are limited. Still, I've got no regrets because this thing sounds super smooth and very rich. Thanks for your help, mang!

  • nice. but what the hell's the video all about?

  • It's just about travelling and wind parks, no hidden message ;-). Viajar means "travel".

  • That's a very good, very lush sound you have.

  • i like the boards of C style warbly pad

  • Muy bonito el sonido y las imágenes

  • powerfull stuff...

  • que buen sonido el del semblance, diferente al oberheim sem,

    saludos

  • I like your sound. Very nice. Would you mind me asking what kind of drum machine you used in your recording?

  • Thx for your comment. The drums are made by using microtonic and Abletons Impulse (with Samples of a TR707 and some circuit bended drummachines).
