It's a nice car I just wish it didn't cost so much. Also I really wish Lincoln would make a new V8(the Coyote 5.0 would be perfect) RWD car that can compete with the CTS with the added bonus of suicide doors and ultra classy style to take the place of the Town Car. This car is great and all, just not really pushing the buttons I would want it to.
I have a huge dilemma, the superiority of Asian cars when it comes to reliability and the comfort of the American cars.
I had a Lincoln in 2005,it was great car except that I had to go to the garage each 6months ,very expensive to maintain and sucks fuel ,on the end I started hating the brand because it makes me suffer so much.
How can I have the performance of American cars and the reliability of the Asian cars?
@issamworld Look at a cadillac, that's what I have. It's extremly reliable and an all-around great car. The newer ones are pricey though so you might want to look at older makes of it(2-4 years).

The car is nicer because it uses an Swedish/Euro platform and not an American one. Many of Ford's latest cars use the platforms from Euro to give the car a more European feel and styling. And yes the new Taurus is proof of that.

its a luxury sedan?...why would you want a manual sedan, go get a sports coupe. Most people who purchase luxury sedans do a lot of city driving and manuals get annoying in traffic. This isn't the the 1960's anymore the new automatic transmissions can even out perform manuals in many vehicles!
I find it easy in traffic even with manual. You can get a BMW 5 series with manual, and thats a step above this in luxury. This is supposed to be somewhat sporty, like what BMW is over Mercedes, this Lincon is supposed to be the BMW over Cadilac. Automatics can not out perform manuals even now, period. The auto cars that do, though, have manual gearboxes with electronicly controlled clutches, which is very different from a traditional automatic. NO American car has a gearbox like that.

They didn't steal anything. Those technologies are going to be in all vehicles at somepoint and infact the majority of upper class cars have had it for a while.

i do like the front and side profile looks and the interior too. but quality wise lincoln and cadillac cannot match german or even japanese rivals. Thats why neither of these brands would have a hope in europe. cadillac is there but has recieved below average reviews and sales suck. we arent that easily impressed
And what on what basis do you make these claims? Should I take your word for it because your name is "Cardesigner"? Have you personally compared the Lincoln and the Caddy to your "superior" Euro rivals? I test drove alot of entry and mid level luxury cars and my two favorites were the 3-series and the CTS. Quality-wise the CTS was spot on. I agree that these brands were not competitive before, but this is not the case any longer. Read the reviews. Drive them. Sit in them. Educate yourself.
Its only been a few years that Lexus, Infiniti and Acura started competing globally, prior to 2006 All their cars were branded Toyota Nissan and Honda, check your facts, how well is Lexus or Infiniti doing in Europe? What in their own home market?

I wouldn't say it's misleading, just creative. Plus, there's no way in hell that a Rav4 with a 3.5L V6 producing 269bhp can beat an MKS with a 3.7bhp V6 producing 275bhp or a 3.5L GTDI V6 producing 355bhp.

It's a speed comparison. The Advertising is suggesting that the MKS is a light speed capable rocketship. Therefore it IS meant to be fast. So if Joe Schmuck goes out in his cool new, MKS rocketship and pulls up to a light next to my lil' sis in her RAV 4 V6. He's gonna be pissed when she jumps out in front and walks his candy ass.

Its not really misleading you know whats bad.C&D did a race of the Audi R8 vs E63 AMG wagon and the R8 got beat.That has nothin to do with the MKS or Rav4 but thats a similar situation.

If Lincoln still did that,they wouldnt be selling any at all.Todays cars arent designed for the old farts who could barely read signs anymore.They are designing them for younger 20's 30's 40's and possibly early 50's.This is part of the reason why American cars dont sell.Ford,GM and Chrysler cant get out the past.This new MKS is a step up for Lincoln,and its about fucking time.That Town car has been out dated for 12 years now.

Now to solve that problem you just have to stand real close to the car when your doing that to cover up what your code is. Kinda like how you would cover up your test so the guy next to you couldn't copy lol

i do like the front and side profile looks and the interior too. but quality wise lincoln and cadillac cannot match german or even japanese rivals. Thats why neither of these brands would have a hope in europe. cadillac is there but has recieved below average reviews and sales suck. we arent that easily impressed

And what on what basis do you make these claims? Should I take your word for it because your name is "Cardesigner"? Have you personally compared the Lincoln and the Caddy to your "superior" Euro rivals? I test drove alot of entry and mid level luxury cars and my two favorites were the 3-series and the CTS. Quality-wise the CTS was spot on. I agree that these brands were not competitive before, but this is not the case any longer. Read the reviews. Drive them. Sit in them. Educate yourself.

Its only been a few years that Lexus, Infiniti and Acura started competing globally, prior to 2006 All their cars were branded Toyota Nissan and Honda, check your facts, how well is Lexus or Infiniti doing in Europe? What in their own home market?
