This was great! However, the 'Divination' or whatever the bearded guy thought he was doing is completely fake - I've done it before for fun. The pieces of metal cross when there is water nearby due to some magnetic pull, and repel each other when there is no water. So, when all of them crossed, they were probably standing over an underground stream or something! However, I loved the rest of this. Bradley and Colin are gorgeous.

Not only do I love the legend behind all of this, but the landscape of Wales itself is just absolutely gorgeous. This trip would be worth it just to see the beautiful land.

Bradley manages to keep a straight face with the divining rods and still manages to look wryly humorous at the same time.He keeps glancing at Colin, who seems to have taken the approach of "Don't look at me or I'll lose this very tenuous seriousness I'm gripping with my life." This whole thing has to be the most dryly hilarious thing I've ever seen. These 2 could amuse and entertain while reading a phone book.

Okay, I believe both Arthur and Merlin existed. Why is it so hard to believe a man who was noble led a kingdom that was more wonderful then any other kingdom, and Merlin a man who had powers existed? He may not have been a sorcerer. Maybe a healer. We would put our life on believing in the splitting of the red sea; Moses, walk on water; Jesus. But this is hard to believe?? Why not believe in a world beyond our own?

@Sarcastic07 I believe they existed, I'm Welsh, Merlin and Arthur are very important to us! They're part of our history and Welsh legends, and they play a big part in our culture :) I've always believed they were real, and I believe Merlin was some sort of healer too.

@Sarcastic07 no I don't think so. It's just that whenever Merlin and Arthur legends are being told or made into movies they're never usually mentioned to be Welsh, born in Wales and all that which is really annoying :/

The base stays the same but same things change, for example, althought Lancelot was mencionated in the first legends, he doesn´t fall in love for Gwen, in until the french took the history and re-write it

I believe Arthur existed some time after the romans left britan, and merlin would be a friend and a person with an amazing knowloge about medicine, or as @cymrtvxq said some sort of healer

Don´t forget that people feared what did they not understood, or would call it magic

sadly is that this is less about finding out about the 'real arthur and merlin' and more about their journy.

i love arthurian litrature.

which draws me to this new Merlin series.

ive read ALOT of arthurian stuff.

but there is much i havent yet read

(which makes me wish i could see that libary in mold. heh).

i think there could have been a real arthur

but merlin is pure myth.

His magical ability is pure myth but his existence has about the same amount of evidence as Arthur. He was most likely an mentor or adviser, a wiseman or multiple other things that time and legend twisted into sorcery.

with Merlin its pure fiction.

merlin is created by Geoffery of monmeth

and he combined two fictional charturs

Ambrose (who is with Vortigern diging up the sleeping dragons in Nennius) and Myrddin (pronunced Myr-th-in).

its the same with Lancelot

chretian chreated him but the charture is losely based off an old charture in old welsh legends.
