  • Hey Daveyedgar,

Looking good! Guess what I'm almost done with my plans for this plane, but form the look of it you don't need them. O hey, don't worry about the fuselage thing....mine is a little crooked too. =). And with the foam board I always make sure to store it real carefully so as to keep it from warping. Sometimes I actually use a warped piece to my advantage by using it as my dihedral. But you can cure a warp with weights and an over night stay on a table to flatten it out.

  • Hey thanks Mikey I appreciate the comment. I'm really psyched about this plane and can't wait for the maiden. I'm just waiting for the weather now. Its cold and windy here, and my videographer is only available on weekends cuz after her work it is already dark :(

  • Looking good!!

Yes, depron is usually warped a bit as well.

  • Ah thanks nishbrown. Is there a trick to straightening it out or do you bother?

  • The best results I have gotten is from weighting it down flat, for at least a week.

    Always store your foam horizontally.

Tape, on the outside of the curve, can be used to correct minor bends.

I'll go with function over form any time. :-)

  • awesome thanks!!

  • wow! nice plane design.

did you glide test the plane to find the CG?

this is the time you do the glide test before you install the electronics.

  • Thanks tension appreciate the comment. Actually I didn't glide test it I just went according to the math. I should start doing that though.

  • Nice trousers ! Ilike the plane design !
