@whatwhere It's actually a belt drive with what I believe are metal gears. I don't think there are any other gears. Look up Sieg SX2 for more on the model.
Just ordered mine along with 2 axis DRO and tach. I haven't looked out my window with such anticipation since I was in elementry school hoping for a snow day.
Hi. I purchased a littlemachineshop 3900 myself and is very happy with the machine. Making fully integrated permanent accurizing parts for my mill. A new design rigity brace for the head stock and tube. Off .004 to .006 under full load. All mill adustment at "0". When finishe will have dead smooth surface. Very powerfully cutting at good feed rate and dept on 1018c. Cut pattern very good when stock. Now only haver very micro spiral irrational ring pits due to headstock flex and no smooth cnc kit
I've had no time to use it at all. Got it out of the box, bolted to the base and that's pretty much it. A couple test cuts worked fine but I've just run out of time.
Where is ur follow up video on using this machine?

This is quite a bit nicer than the harbor Freight version that I bought. It took almost an entire day to clean off the red grease.
