I honestly thing Girge doesn't die for all you fans out there. Loosing him would be a little much for the show. I just thing that girge's ability to manipulate quartz is so damn precise that he could even stop a bullet, thats why he agreed to take one for the team in the first place, something that I doubt his character would normally do.
