Two things Syndicate, in the items menu, there is a small triangle next to the name of the items which are better than what you currently have equiped, so you can tell if something is worth taking or not. Secondly you can take animal pelts, or skins, and turn them into leather to make some reasonable armour =] Thumbs up so he can see this!!!

Syndicate, when you stick to the shadows while in sneak mode, you're less likely to be found. So try to be in the dark corners and what not when you're trying to hide and there's not any objects to hide behind.
