Averaged 36.7 ALONE after the 07 all star break due to Laker injures. 10 50 point games that season ALONE. No one else in the League could do that under pressure. Who cares who shoots better, is more athletic, passes better, etc. At the end of the day, all that matters is wins and losses. More importantly, it doesn't matter how you get things done, only that you get things done, so why so much nitpicking?

In actuality that is a myth. The Cavs are limited offensively, but have one of the best teams in the league defensively(despite his subpar defense and hiding behind teammates defensively) and rebounding.

wow lebron has improved his defence dramitcally this season and is playing like an all team defender. and the cavs are the best on D( holding their opp. to a league best 89.2 and 2nd in opp fg% at 42%) and not only that the cavs are 6th in the league in scoring and 3rd in fg% The cavs are arubly the best team in the nba, starting with lebron's improvement in the defensive end.

Kobe shot 5% higher than Lebron against the Celtics(KB: 40%; LBJ: 35%) taking similiar amount of shots against them last season. Check the numbers yourself. Kobe did not shoot a lowly 8-42 like Lebron in the 1st 2 games. Not in 02, 04. Why do you mention Malone, Payton, Fisher, Fox and Horry? Malone did not play most of the season. When he did he did not do much. Payton did nothing the entire year. Fox and Horry were over the hill and inconsistent. Fisher has never been a big offensive threat.

Lebron does not take bad shots? Shows what you know. Why don't you mention those stupid 3s he took in game 7 against the Celtics under 3 minutes to go that he missed badly when 3s were not needed. A 32% 3 point shooter taking a 5 3s a game(4.8). Essentially 3.5-4 unofficial turnovers a game. Shot selection is better? Right. Has to take lay ups and dunks. Cannot shoot consistently.

Kobe has shot 45%-46% which is solid for a shooting guard. Lebron shoots 48% for the last several years. Lebron's percantage is only higher by 3% even though he is a primary finisher while Kobe is a finisher/jumpshooter. Last season Lebron shot 67% as a finisher(475-708) while shooting 34%(319-932) from everywhere else.
Close range: 33%(62-186)
Mid range: 34%(134-389)
3 point range: 32%(113-357)
Kobe with a bad shooting hand and knee still shot higher in all stages but finishing(62%)

Last seasons he finally started developing the dominant will to take over games in the 4th. That is good. Great players should have this ability. But he still shoots poorly in all stages(free throws are FINALLY above 75%; should be 80%+), no refined face up and post game DESPITE being 6-9 274 as you said. Still has subpar footwork on both ends and compalains to refs just as much as any other star does.

Well his ft% has gone up this season, at 79% which is pretty good. Lebron is probably the best player this season, having a phenomanal year leading the cavs to the 2nd best record(25-4) Lebron this season, has been shutting star players down( held melo to 13 points on 4-10fg, held tmac to 4 points, held danny granger to 4, held gerald wallace to 3,ect) His shot selection has also improved, shooting at 50%fg. So y'all can stop critisizing his defence and ft shooting. Dude is on a tear lately...

He is the most dominant athlete in the League but he also has the same deficiencies he has had since high school. HIGH SCHOOL. Think about that. You would think that a world class athlete that has access to world class trainers and equipment would show consistent improvement year in and year out. Lebron did not do that for the 1st 3 years of his career. Was beaten in a simple game of HORSE by a warehouse worker. That is your hero.

His best performances are overrated compared to his failures. Putting him on a Jordan/Magic/Bird pedastal is disrespect to the game. Lebron COULD be on the level. He has underperformed against the top teams in the playoffs the last few seasons but his 48 point game 6 Pistons game and 45 point game 7 Celtics game are glorified when in actually he played poorly for both series but no one takes notice of that.

BS logic? I stated when he was 260. Subtract 40 from 260 what is the weight that you have? 220 which is average for a small forward and shooting guard. So please restate your opinion before you attempt to refute my "logic." 240 is legit power forward size. 274 is above average for power forwards. Either way he still plays the same way with the same deficiecnies. Overwhelms people athletcially but when he is played by sound defensive teams in clutch situations like the Spurs in 07 he is shut down

It is not about "throwing up fadeaway jumpers" it is about having the most advanced skill set which Lebron does not have. Amazing how you bring up a number without any actually merit. Kobe from 05 to this season was voted by NBA GMs as the player that requires the most adjustments to play against. Not Lebron, Kobe. Why? Because Kobe is the most skilled player in the game. Cannot be stopped one on one, is a threat from everywhere within half court and commands constant attention. That is MVP.

Why don't you mention how he shot ONLY 34% OUTSIDE of 5 feet from the basket in 06/07 and 07/08. If he does not dunk, lay up or get fouled he does not score effectively. Sorry not impressed. He puts up numbers against physically inferior players? And this deserves respect. Like Shaq? Look at him now. Overgrown joke with below average skills without his dominant explosive athleticism. That is what Lebron will be when his body breaks down unless he develops his skills at a better rate.

Really, what about his points on the break under no pressure? Or his finishes around the basket against physically inferior opponents(100% of the time). The wide open 3 point shots that he takes despite being a subpar shooter. Sorry that argument does not stand. Lebron overwhelms defedners phsyiaclly. That is the main reason why he is such an devstating defender. Not because he moves and shots are refined and calculative but because he is bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone he faces.

Never gets one on one opportunties? Where is your proof of that. How many times is he double teamed a game? He is rarely double teamed from the top of the key. Also lost game 7 by taking unneccessary 3s under 3 munites to go. He performed poorly in that series. Check his numbers. Shot only 35%. Only had 1 great game against the Pistons in the 07 Eastern Conference Finals. Numbers were not impressive either. Shot only 34%(319-932) from the field OUTSIDE of 5 feet from the basket Only 71% from the free throw line. Subpar for a perimeter player. Debatable. Has been a dominant athlete since he was a sophomore. A man amongst boys physically. His ball skills are not as impressive as his athleticism is. Vision is exceptional for a player his size. Shooting in all stages is subpar in both technique and performance. Has no refined go to moves compared to his competitors on average. Despite being a dominant athlete has not exhibited dominant post play. Subpar on ball defensive skills for a being the most dominant athlete in the League.
