  • Nice video, tnx. You just save me $149.

  • Thanks bro, I also did not want to buy the adapter.

  • Great tip, just got rid of an annoying piece of dirt thanks to you!

  • Huge help! Thanks for making the video.

  • Thank you mate for sharing. Very good tip.

  • thanks so much for this - I really didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount on a proprietary AC adapter. there is the issue of the sensor being activated but I think I'm willing to give it a go to save $100 :)

  • dumb wog

  • perfect thanks worked realy well on my d100

  • Very helpful. Thank you so much.

  • man, I use the mirror lock up mode in meniu, you dont need to set the shutter speed until you get "buld"...:)

  • @BlockAzo you need an AC adapter to use that setting - that is what this method avoids

  • @BlockAzo D100 doesn't have that feature unless you but that cable :/ that's why i had to find another way to make it happen :D

  • I heard that the blower works only with dry dust, so if there's a sticky dust on your sensor, your method might not work :)

  • Great stuff. This saved me some dough. Thanks mate.

  • My father just gave me a Nikon D100, does anyone know where I can find some good tutorials? Thanks in advance.

  • @MelWellmanTV this grat website called google.com and youtube.com :D i seriously learned everything on there

  • awesome! thanks for posting.

  • Thank you so much. I am in afghanistan and the camera is full of dust. I tried everything to clean it out and had no access to the cable. you have saved the day.

  • One small problem with this method. On "bulb" with the shutter button depressed, the CCD image sensor is charged because it is trying to gather light. An electostatic charge attracts dust. The EH-5 adapter that Nikon sells for this purpose, opens the shutter WITHOUT charging the CCD image sensor. Also, leaving the shutter open for long periods on "bulb" causes the image sensor to heat up and invites stuck and/or dead pixels.

  • @Ciarli125 no one has complained so far of this method :D

  • that solved my problem, thanks

  • Nice one, that worked a treat.

  • Thats exactly how I do it. I have the Nikon D100 also. Great camera but want to upgrade to D300s. (thatrudyguy)

do you have examples of photos you took on the D100? any other tips for this camera? I am using 18/200mm at the mo. Cheers
