Had this mouse, I loved it, had it for about 4 months, sadly those changable covers started moving about on the mouse, which was annoying then I upgraded to G9X, which is better, had that about 2 months then fell in love with my friends G500 so I then upgraded to that, and I've never looked back since.

g9 has the feature that when you lift it of your mousepad it stops transmitting..

is there a way to turn that OFF! !!!! cuz im low sens and lift up my mouse very much.

First of all. Use proper engliss. Second. No you cant. Its a lase mouse The laser provides great accuracy. You can always use it on 3200 DPI like i do :P

the g9 and the g500 are very different so it all depends on what you like. it's really hard to say but if you get a G9, get the newer model because the old one had issues with the sensor.

Razer Copperhead is a claw grip & ambidextrous mouse! Logitech G9 is a semi-claw grip & right-handed mouse! Logitech G500 is a palm grip & right-handed mouse (upgrade version of Logitech G5), which is similar to Razer DeathAdder as palm grip & right-handed mouse!! >=)

a problem ive noticed with this mouse is that when I bind command to the Scroll wheel tilt left & right, while im in game to click the Middle mouse, I sometimes Trigger the Left right tilting

uncomfortable ? im using this mice for like a year now and its the best mouse i used it for FPS games like wolfenstein ET Pro and atm CoD2 and never had problems with it if i had gamingsessions of 9or even 10hours my hands doesnt even hurts so pls get one and youll see that Logitech is the #1 leader of mice not like razer etc they have nice headsets and steelsereis has nice pads stick with what ur good at i recommend it Logitech G5 or G9

I would trade my X8 in a heart beat! X8 is HUGE ASSED stupid gimmick and the worst textured wheel button ever (metal instead of rubber?)!  Stupid Microsoft! Plus, I don't need more than 2500 dpi even for FPS. Using my fingers to move the mouse is more accurate and fast than palming it....all the top players do. Your palm resting on desk steadies your hand like an anchor for stability and your fingers can flick the mouse around with less effort than moving entire arm!

if you like G9 look for trust gxt14 - same shape its a copy of G9 with switch 800 - 1600 - 2400 dpi. i am using it and its not that wxpensive as others

i agree.. i tryed this logitech g9 and my own razer lachesis... the winner is lachesis its much better if you ask me and its cheaper so..

It's just personal preference. Personally, I can't stand the feel of the Lachesis and the higher DPI is useless, idk why Razer keeps pushing it higher and higher with the Lachesis and now the Mamba. I just got a G9 to replace my G7 (I know wireless is shit bla bla) and love it so far. When you first see the G9 it looks pretty horrible but it definitely grows on you.

higher dpi is usefull to people with big monitors.

cause the bigger the monitor is the faster the mouse has to move to reach parts of the monitor.

low dpi and big monitor.
