Wow, this is a shock to me. Compared to her earlier stuff, I don't know if I like it. And now I am going to scour google and youtube to see if I can find out what actually happened, why she left the Christian music scene.
Her Christian stuff has impacted me so deeply that it's almost painful to think she's gone from doing that now.
I recently 'discovered' Nikki when walking my dog! You see, a local used bookstore here in Chicago actually throws away inventory that doesn't sell, or for other reasons! They have a big dumpster out back that is often full of CD's, DVD's, or books... the dumpster seems clean because they use it only for non food items... I was walking by and saw a stack of CD's, one of which was Nikki Leonti's 'Shelter Me'. I took it home and listened, and have to say, she's got a GREAT voice! VERY soulful!

@iluvmyconner because most people remember her music when she was 15 years old. she's probably at least 26 in this vid. her voice (finally) matured.

Totally good. I have her first gospel album, I purchased back in the day... Her voice was good then, but it definitely has matured.
