Did that car have a straight muffler on it?? Cause my Dodge neon R/t doesn't have a straight muffler on it and I'm trying to put on a straight muffler on it. Is it possible?
why you didn`t cut out the rear spoiler and place the end of your muffler there instead just hanging down and shaking in the air even it`s hooked still shakeing ... ?

look here I got a 97 neon sport 2.0 DOHC with just a few bolt on mods and I have beaten the 08 mustang with the 4.0 by more than 4 cars also I raced the 93 ford mustang that my friend has in the drag strip 1/8 and I beat him by 1 car.... also the 06 audi a4 with tubo 3 cars... acura tl 3.2 vtec neck to neck... so learn that 4 cylinders do run and if u dont think its true am goin to start posting videos soon sooo look out for them....
even the dodge charger 06 with the 3.5 v6 high output engine could not see me and we raced several times first from 0 -------- gone he didnt even have a chance.. then at 40 I was able to take almost 3 cars...

And you loss power from them, its true, I know it says that they allow for more power, but they dont say what else you have to do to get that power. You have to get a new intake & exhaust manifold, down pipe, all new pipe and a better muffler which sorry to say that isnt. But if you like that sound, more power to you man. Im not trying to be an ass, just informing.

@fourcylfury You do lose a bit of power from a canister, Its STRAIGHT THROUGH, thus less back pressure. Less back pressure means loss of power on a N/A car. The DOHC muffler is all you need for a SOHC or DOHC engine with out heavy modding. I'm happy for you for owner 12 neons, I'm sure one replaced the other one after an other. The DSM I bought over 2 years ago is gone, the DSM Justin owns is making over 400hp to the ground with an 18G and supporting mods. No problems so far. I agree that DSMs

No offence, but if you have a r/t already you are better off spending the money on that than on a SRT. Your R/T would kill any stock and some fixed up SRTs for the same price.. I paid 700 bucks on my 98 DOHC neon and if I spent all the money it would cost for a SRT on my 98, i would be pushing around 500hp.. Ive priced everything..It would be alot of fun to work on too.
