  • Nothing at all in common with the CR250 engines this has a 6 speed gearbox and a completely different crank. gear driven oil pump, and completely different clutches, basket and pressure plate. most notable difference is that the CRM crank does not use woodruf keys.

  • You do know the oil pumps not connected, or is it just premix?

NIce bike though, might be getting one

  • is it just a cr250 with lights ect? iam getting my cr road reg with just a day time mot!!

so i just need a reflector and horn, then get it regd with dvla! nice bike did you sell it?

  • @shabow1987 CRM was an japanese import which came with full lights and road kit etc as standard, The engine bears no similaritys to the CR at all. These engine run about 27hp standard making them very reliable

  • @delvej maybe reliable but very slow! :-(

  • @shabow1987 if well maintained an tuned it flies

i got 95-100 mph with mine

wossner piston overbored to 258cc and dep exhaust , apart from this everything is stock

  • @delvej a japanese import? i've got a CRM 125 93" must run around 29hp it's italian made

  • @ak47proshooter CRM was NEVER made or marketed in Italy. Japanese market only. some were exported by private businesses and individuals.

  • @dfurno2003 How do you explain all the made in italy markings on my bike then even the plate on the frame is written in italian the frame has made in italy written on it so are the wheels, discs, forks, exhaust, etc... i should know i own one! as for similaritys in the engine department the reed cage is the same but i haven't had a CR and CRM side by side so i'm not sure what else

  • @ak47proshooter got any pics? cause mine has no made in Italy markings, its an 89 mk1 crm259, after a little research, i guess there is a honda plant in italy, but i couldnt find out what year it opened.

  • the frames and engines are completely different between cr and crm different cranks and everything, I had a heck of a time sourcing parts to fit my crm. bt the 6 speed bearbox is pretty nice on the highway... the bikes look similar but thats about it. i used a piston from a honda atc 250 with a conrod rom leisuretrail and had to use the stock crank.. which does not have woodruf keys! balancing it was a pain.

  • @dfurno2003 the top end is italian made (gilardoni) i've heard some CR pistons will fit but i can't prove that some do as i said reed cage is the same for CR/CRM (if you buy a 1989-1998 CR cage) luckly for the 125cc CRM the NSR has the same pistons and other parts

  • @ak47proshooter I have a listing of compatible parts, I will post a link to the source when I get a chance, I didnt create the list and don't wanna take credit for someone else' work.
