Daughtry was in the year that Taylor Hicks won?? I wasn't watching that season so I can't really comment on that because I know that sometimes people improve post show. But Chris and Elliot(even though I'm not huge fans of their music) are much stronger vocalists. Who came in second that year?

I believe Elliott should of been in the top two, mostly because he is SO talented, hell, i would of took Daughtry in the second place spot because getting beat out by Katharine would of just been a buzz kill. I'm glad she didn't win though.

Big Mike does sound like whats ont he radio today, and I think that's the reason I'm not really a fan of most of the people this year, they are all extremely generic. You can turn on the radio and hear someone who sounds almost exactly the same as all of the contestants. I think that's the reason so many people like Crystal and Lee. They have their own styles.

This should have been a clue that Chris Daughtry will be a SUPERSTAR. Chris Daughtry is better than David Cook vocal-wise. Daughtry has SUPER control of his vocals. Daughtry is FAR MORE SUPERIOR than Matt Giraud. If Daughtry competes with Lambert, it will be a matter of taste of the people. Both are outstanding.

Coming in 4th place was the best place for him. It actually helped him in more ways than one. I also don't understand why many compare him to David Cook. they do sound different but i think its easy to compare them because they are not typical american idols i mean this is supposed to be a "pop idol" and these guys along with others (Michael johns, bo bice etc) just have this amazing sensibility for rock music and specially this 2 with a classical raspy voice ... but i agree they are different but i love it that rockers are starting to regain popularity :)
