No she didn't. Stephenie Meyer wanted Hayden Christenson the most (Anakin Skywalker). Also, this is crazy, even if it's fun. I just saw the whole Bella recast and was horrified at the thought. Twilight should NOT be remade. Kristen portrayed Bella to a tee because Bella IS a very plain character and doesn't show much expression. The character was designed to be a blank slate so women can have their fantasies but she's a bad heroine. Edward's a bad hero as well. Also. LEDGER IS TOO GOOD. D:

I never imagined Edward as Robert. Robert is such a freaking bad actor. His portrayal of Edward made me hate the character. Gaspard is how I pictures him and I believe would have done such a better job. But he deserves better than to be known as the shitty acting Edward/twilight guy amongst America. I rather know him better as the cryptic and emotionally profound young serial killer(Hannibal Lecter) that he was.. You know, kind of how normal vampires act..

Even Rob admitted later that he thought Bella/Edward relationship to be freaky...and that he regretted taking on the role because he resented it so much...but he said that as he had already accepted it he would try his best to make it work...Bloody hell....I didn't really like twilight but it would have at least been bearable if they'd allowed him to keep his English accent!!! Rob was perfect as Cedric should have stayed like that. Vampire diaries cast Bella-Elena, and Stefan-Edward...idk...
