u place some of your units with their side facing enemy because when it is your turn u rotate them toward the enemy and move i.e. winning a few extra inches

Nice Battlestar Galactica music. Also, why are the DE Raiders all placed as they are before 1st turn? Isnt it better to put the front towards the enemy?

Here's your reason. The Dark Eldar see the ork attack as their chance to put down some Blood Angels. So they take advantage of the chaos and manage to elude the orks while attacking the Blood Angels.
