3:55-6:00 has GOT to be the MOST RETARDED cinematic footage I've seen in my life, with the kid constantly running toward the screen like a bouncing retard ball. If you want to see a more realistic version to this with a better plot, better acting and special effects and more believable characters, with the aliens and spaceship interior more convincing and therefore more otherworldy, check out the 80's version, which is NOT just people wearing costumes in cheap sets. This is like a B-rated film.
How can you possibly go wrong with Martians running through tunnels lined with inflated condoms (that's what they were!), and never mind the zippers on the back of the Mutants, and Luce Potter, my favorite (Martian?) head in a globe :) Classic stuff, this is great!!! Ah, and this has the UK ending cut together with the US ending, most interesting....

@LiquidGardener I actually like the little twist of the nurse and astronomer turning out to be his mom and dad in the UK version.
The real moral of this story- Don't eat Mexican food right before bed!

I remember this movie as a kid and it gave me nightmares.... Kids today would not be scared at all. How simple life used to be...
