Her moves are limited and repetitive in this game, a great deal of the game is about shooting rats and bats in very narrow pathways where one tiny mistake could cost her life which is very stressful. On top of it, her looks suck, she looked more athletic in Legend or Underworld.

I've loved TR from the first but this game harder than Underworld. I consider myself an average player but some timed runs or specific jumps to relics & artefacts were impossible for me, which was disappointing & not fun trying hundreds of times to do it. Seems made for elite of players. Doing time trials for each level to unlock things was out for me. Enough grief doing the game once. It wasn't fun like the others, just harrowing. Always completed TR games buf felt inadequate with this

I can't judge AOD (never played it) but I really liked legends and anniversary, I like how Lara is more a sympathetic character.

(did you tried them at hard) but yes they could have made them harder with the puzzles I remember getting stuck for long time with TR1, and longer. I agree there (I do like challenge).

how about a new tomb raider where Lara is stuck on an island and the whole island is non linear and very explorable. There are many tombs in the island that are cleverly hidden. Tombs are like dungeons in zelda. At the end of a tomb, you get another peice to an ancient relic. Some tombs are right under your nose and are unoticeable. These tombs are complete with puzzles, bosses and action. Every time you complete tombs in a section, another section of the island is unlocked.

@xFIRERUSHx i don't know if Crystal Dynamics read your comment or not but the rebooted simply-called "Tomb Raider" game starts Lara off somewhat like that. she's shipwrecked on an island and starts off not knowing zilch [since she's just a newbie at Archeology and Tomb-Raiding and doesn't know anything] and you start off the island exploring bit by bit, piece by piece, and Lara learns (well, you know. story moves along) as she goes along.

I agree, it was a great game - doing justice to the original many times. The only thing I really dislike is the renewed Croft Manor. If you`ve played the old series, you feel very familiar with the Original building and having it transformed that way is destroys an important part of the game... also, although the architecture is great in all levels, the colour sets should have been closer to the original. I remember Rooms in shining gold and red which are made of grey bricks in the new version.

This is a great reformulation of the original. Superlatively visual, great gameplay, it feels awesome when you're jumping from wall to wall. Challenging too, those artefacts you have to find in-between levels to unlock goodies are nigh-on impossible to find without a guide, I tried - but failed - consistently. It improves on the original in nearly every respect apart from atmosphere, music and shooting mechanics. The shooting in this game feels fiddly. Oh, and those costumes. I need to lie down.

@BryantJake Probably a lot of guys do. It wouldn't surprise me. But the funny thing is, out of all the attractive female protagonists, Lara is the only one I haven't actually crushed on. The first Tomb Raider game I ever played was Tomb Raider 3. I was 3 or 4 years old. And ever since I've always been partial to the Tomb Raider games. I always played the old PS1 games. But I'm glad Anniversary was the first new one I played. It's a great tribute to a true video game legend.
