Hebrews does not say that there is a new testament command to keep the seventh day, quite the contrary, it says:
Hbr 4:7 AGAIN, he LIMITETH a CERTAIN DAY, saying in David, TO DAY, after so long a time; as it is said, TO DAY if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Today if you wilt believe, you can enter into his rest because Christ makes you complete. And in him making you complete, you can rest from your works, as he rested when his works were complete.
5 times the word TODAY is used in Hebrews 3 and 4. It puts a huge emphasis on TODAY being the day. Now is the accepted time, NOW is the day of salvation.
The truth is in the Gospels. Why didn't Jesus directly command sabbath keeping? Jesus came to magnify the commandments. To point to sin just as the commandments do. Jesus was concerned with sin. Deeper than outward observance because it starts in the heart. The Jews were keeping the sabbath so why would Jesus convict them of something that as far as they were concerned they were being obedient? Jesus did not break the sabbath. He broke the laws that the scribes had made, self righteouss.
