can you explain more in detail what you had to do with the swingarm? very interested in doing the same thing. Also what year is the swingarm from and do you like the ct70 shocks? did you have to do anything with the rear shock mount of the new swingarm? Haha sorry for all the questions but PLEASE REPLY
How does the straight pipe work? i dot really want to spend money on an aftermarket pipe but i was wondering if you loose any Horse power with a straight pipe?
I Had a 1979 Honda Z50 & IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!! Only better bike I ever owned/raced was my 1998 Yamaha YZ125...because the 1998 Yamaha YZ125's were SO MUCH FASTER THEN EVERY OTHER 125 that it was like racing with everyone else in slow motion....
Just saw this. The pipe is titanium header pipe from a BBR perimeter exhaust system. I bought if from a guy that had it as an extra header pipe and didn't need it any more. It kinda fit so I was using it. It's really loud with the 88 kit and the straight pipe. Sounds pissed off.
is that swingarm aftermarket? what is it it looks awesome, i want to do something like that to mine. any cheap mods that you know of that will make the performance better?
had to grind down the inside of the pivot points on the swing arm a little to make it fit. Other than that, I drilled out the old bushings, replaced them with bronze bushings that I ordered from McMasters, then I ground off a couple tabs that weren't going to be used, and had it powder coated.
@godlyjacob08 The swingarm was from an older XR80 and I had to trim the swingarm bolt to fit the z50 frame. Then I cut off the old xr80 tabs/extra crap and put in new bushings. I used CT70 (330mm) shocks for it. It was a really nice set up.
I have a 1985 honda z50R but know nothing about bikes. What petrol should I put into it?
