  • one thing though what does that do

  • @turkville - This is just a simplified proof-of-concept. As mentioned in the description, this could be used to control a gearbox that has two gear selectors, such as Sariel's 4-speed Compact Linear Gearbox. Please read the description and comments for more information.

  • @slfroden ok cool but one question. plzz tell me if the m motor will work and show tutorial if possible anyways

  • nice diff

  • By the way, did you mean sariel?

  • @AdamAce07 - Yes. If you haven't already, check out his Lego creations at sariel.pl

  • I honestly don't understand why this video has so much hate on it. I'd personally use a clutch gear instead of a rubber band, but I suppose, with short operations, the differences in how much the restricted actuator moves is negligible.

  • @CitrusJuicebox - Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure why there are so many 'dislikes' either, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess. For me, this was just a proof-of-concept, and it needs a bit more tweaking, but hopefully someone else finds it useful and can incorporate it into their own Lego creations.

  • @slfroden I certainly love things like this. I've been pretty out of Technic developments for the last several years, so learning about these new actuators was certainly a pleasant surprise! You have my thanks.

  • Thats impressive man. Lego do their own actuators now but this is much cooler.

  • @blowenfuse - Thanks for the compliment. For your information, these are official Lego mini linear actuators (BrickLink part #92693c01). In fact, this is 100% Lego, no 3rd party pieces have been used at all.

  • Why? And wat for

  • @TheBeankill - Why not...? You could use two separate motors and linear actuators to achieve the same result, but the advantage with this setup is that only one motor is needed to control two separate linear actuators in series. This saves weight, simplifies the controls (only needs one IR channel), and requires less connections to the battery. As mentioned in the description, this could be used to control a gearbox that has two gear selectors, such as Sariel's 4-speed Compact Linear Gearbox.

  • That's quite cool.

  • What did i just witness?

  • @Dewmeister14 - Please read the description, it will tell you what's happening. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask...
