  • Haha... Best sushi of my life at the place.. but when I tried the uni, I almost lost my lunch. =) Definitely an experience for westerners.

  • @Paatuki, that pink thing in middle 0:01 is that tuna or salmon?

  • @TheGreenKnighter20 I think it was salmon, it was sooo long ago now ...

  • I ate at this wonderful shop too! Fabulous sushi!

  • That sushi ledge must be covered in saliva, I don't think so!

  • I dont remember selecting anything, I think it's a fixed set of sushi. At the beginning, clam soup and at end (was it supposed to be the climax?) a little bundle of crab meat.

  • ....i miss Japan...cant wait to go back in September for good!!!

  • The guy in the glasses in front! That's the guy who served me those delicious Otoro and Uni! He's a kind and funny guy.

There's something I'm curious to ask, is this video inverted? Like left to right? Because I remember the door being to my right.

  • Hey Jonathan, naaaaaah, this video clip isn't inverted. I'm sure you entered through the left side, the main entrance and left through the right side, it's a sort of back exit to the street on the other side of the shop.

  • 美味そうw

  • omg...2hours, it is really that much better compared to the other restaurants?

  • Well, the actual fish market that helps to serve the kanto area is just around the corner, so the fish that is served at these local restaurants have the advantage of being able to serve fish that was JUST caught within the last 24hours as opposed to sitting in a shop refrigerator waiting for its consumer to pop along. The sushi that I ate there was to this day (and I love my sushi) still the best I've ever had! It's normal in Japan to wait almost that long to eat at any well known restaurant

  • how do you order here? Just omakase? Like set menu?

  • Well, if you know what you like out of what you can see then you just tell the sushi chef what you want, it was all free-style. We didn't use a menu, if in doubt just point! It's fun and the sushi is to DIE for! I haven't been to another sushi place like it!

  • thanks. I shall go there in 40 days' time. I've walked past a place at Tsukiji a couple of times with huge line ups. Must be it. I'll try and get there for 6am. :)

  • This place is really good and not expensive. But u need to get there early ie around 6am. They open at 5.30am. If u get there around 8am - u have to queue for 2hours. The main reason is the shop is small and they can serve about 12 clients at one go. Plus they don't rush the clients . So it takes about 30mins to eat per batch. So u can imagine the wait.

I make a point to go there everytime i am in tokyo. Better than a lot of well known sushi shop and at a fraction of the price

  • Thanx sharpmindx for the comment! I'm not a morning person but my neighbour got me up to go down here to experience the best sushi I've ever tasted! I still live in Japan and still think this is the best place I've ever been to. The sushi here just melted in my mouth! I love it!

  • I remember eating in one of these restaurants after visiting the market, as a real lover of sushi, it was really difficult for me though to eat this at 6 in the morning!!! The freshest sushi I have ever eaten and definately an experience!
