Slow down the units they hit plus if I'm not mistaken add damage dealt by other units like hydra's and muta's. The more spores, the more damage.

no, actually they just slow down the fire rate of units, they don't do additional damage

very effective against corsairs since corsairs have low base damage but high rate of fire

Actually they lower the defense of that unit, they'll take 1 more damage from any attack per spore.

Chojja should have just made some more guardians and less Devourers then bombed the Archons from a distance until it was safe to bring in the Devourers. Keeping his army a bit spread so as to avoid Mass Maelstrom.

Im surprised this even made it to the late game.He had few game winning shots in the early game and screwed them up for no reason.When he had his first mass ling attack he should of just keep em coming or even go for ultras and that would be pretty much it.Great game by Reach tho.

Yea its so hard to say for everything. We can see both sides of the game, they can only see their own side. The thing is, 300APM is fantastic for early game stuff, but when you get to huge games like this, its just not enough, and lots of mistakes start showing up. Both players had their fair share. Awesome game though, wont forget it anytime soon.

To be honest, Chojja played horribly for a while, but Reach was sold throughout the game. His idea to use dark Archons to counter devourers was brilliant.

I can see why Reach is so respected in the Starcraft esport world.

And Chojja's lack of creative play plus his careless micro all through the game made things so insane all through this beast of a series.

Honestly, Chojja made way too many mistakes. His unit choices were bizarre. He shouldn't just mass sunkens or mass zerglings or mass devourers. It seriously doesn't work like that. Also, he spent most of his time doing jack squat. He sat on his 5 resource bases doing nothing. He sat on his huge ultra/ling force doing nothing. Then he sits on his devourer fleet doing nothing. All he does is react to Reach's play.

The way he played this game, I feel like even I could have beaten him. He didn't do any drops or harassing. His micro was lackluster. Heck, Reach walked into his base THREE times with nothing but six zealots and took out all of his tech.

Oh yeah, I just remembered another mistake. He let his overlords get RAGED! by corsairs in midgame. I died a little inside when I saw so many overlords go down.

chojja actually had better force here but his lack of creativity was disappointing. he should've encircled reach's force with devos from very far away and then attacked inward with all of them, making a full on reach. if he landed plague on his air then that definitely would be the end; maelstrom all well and good but too slow offense v. too many targets, but again they needed to be in a full blown circle around the toss, which is easily done with all the time they had. plague maybe notNeed@all

reach is expanding all the time but lings are disturbing him all the way. reach didnt have any spare unit to deal w/ the harrasment. and chojja had exellent macro in the early games. i dont know him very well so i dont know hes skill at macroing. i guess chojja is more of a "overall" strategy than "mini-tactics". and no one deserves a title such as "zergtard" for lossing against a Professional player.. if reach lost should u call him "protard" then?

Awesome; I have to 5 star each part now. It was a great game, and hilarious commentary. I don't know why you like Reach so much, but I guess you have a thing for strong men ;). With all the history in the middle, you did miss some cool broodlings and such, but it was worth it, I think. And that was some serious pimp play by the Mantoss. And by far the best maelstrom I have ever seen. Oh, and I agree, in the middle when Chojja wasn't building, it was because he was slacking on his overlords.
