  • thats Good haitian and nigerian acting crazy

  • In this case i don't know the haiti ppl are talking about but non of them is beautiful. What's the reason for showing them up here. If you ment Haiti that had earthquake some years ago, why not ask ndi igbo the slaves they sold, decades ago than writting countries that does not centre.

Isn't why ndi helped the haitians during their fall? They helped biafrans during the war as well. Many slaves were sent to badagry if they copy bini remember oyo and Oba'O bini story.

  • Nigerian and Haitian?,. lmao like nobody cant tell two Negros, when they see them. lmao

  • yessshhh ma'am hold iht down for tha Nigerians!! lolx yall funny

  • good

  • Ok correction everybody. Benin City in Nigeria was known as Igodomigodo, then Benin Empire, later to Benin kingdom. The original people and founder are called Bini or Edo. It is true that Dahomey was part of Igodomigodo long time ago including the Ga people of Ghana. Dahomey changed their name to Benin republic because they trace their ancestors to Benin City in Nigeria. I know this fact because I am from Benin City.

  • @maxwell017 LOL.Benin empire never extended to Dahomey. It only ended at BADAGRY at the coast via Ijaws of Benin empire. Meanwhile Benin republic is different from BINI.. Benin city in Nigeria is actaully BINI and not Benin while Benin republic is called BENE spelt Benin in French. Dahomians speak Yoruba and are descendant s of Oduduwa in Ile Ife..

  • @maxwell017 Well said!

  • Benin City was never in Dahomey and history shows that Benin City extended to Dahomey. Benin City is older than Dahomey and some of the Binis that committed atrocity migrated to Dahomey during that era to escape execution. And some migrated there due to war.

  • Actually Benin is located in the kingdom of Dahomey. it was Dahomey during colonial rule and as at independence, on November 30, 1975 it was changed to the People's Republic of Benin

  • I made some research, I am yet to find anywhere Benin city is linked to repulic of benin or dahomey, Abaja was the capital of dahomey where the king lived, later on porto novo became the capital when french took over, then cotonou of recent. Although 42 african ethnicities live in republic of benin, 4 major groups that formed dahomey were yoruba, malians, togolese and ofcourse native dahomians and neighbouring towns. Are you sure the similarity in the names is not confusing you?

  • Wait, I think the first capitol of Dahomey was Abomey. Correct me if I am wrong.

  • You were right Abomey was the capital but when King Abaja (Agaja) depending on how you spell it was conquered by Oyo empire, his capital abomey was burnt down, he later on agreed to pay tribute to the oyo empire and kept his capital at Allada, south of his former capital abomey until his death, that was between 1726-1730. To correct my earlier mistake Allada was the capital not Abaja (Agaja was the king) when the capital was in Allada due to the fact that Abomey was burned down by oyo empire.

  • @AmaOnyeOgabu Ppl tell me more about the benin and how they became nigerians today. Can you tell me the name of the book you read to get these informatons? I have tried from the wed but it was a defence no clue. Do you know about the igbos? I am a biafra but wared through history. About congo yes the wed said something but about the yorubas. Eh nigeria. So these ppl are foreigners, hei. Pls tell me i'll be greatful. Thank you. But if you don't want, don't take offence.

  • @amatyable Benin city in Nigeria is different from Benin republic and they have no connection.. Benin city how ever is an Edo town.. interestingly Edo people may be the people of Benin city and or Japan too

  • @amatyable @amatyable try to do some research you could learn a lot. Once upon a time in Africa before the advent of the Europeans there was a kingdom called the Benin Kingdom which was only weakened and later declined by the advent of the Europeans and so was another Empire called Ghana though it was situated near current Mali then after independence in the 1960s

  • @amatyable @amatyable try to do so

me research you could learn a lot. Once upon a time in Africa before the advent of the Europeans there was a kingdom called the Benin Kingdom which was only weakened and later declined by the advent of the Europeans and so was another Empire called Ghana though it was situated near current Mali then after independence in the 1960s

  • @JiggaXYZ I don't know the kind of research you want me to do. There is web as well as books that reveals histories of a town. Pls, read it or read what Amaonyeogabu wrote above.

Someone wrote about the atrocities and a flew to dahomey by this benins that became nigerians to day

are they not still dangerous in nigeria? There is need to elect one of them a president to train more people as Anni said. Nig will never get better. Edo is the capital of Bini, and so?

  • @amatyable two newly independent african countries gave themselves the name of these former empires Ghana for the Gold Coast and the people of Dahomey and environs took the name of the former Benin Kingdom which existed in Nigeria that is the empire of the Edo people or as it is spelled these days Bini but the English spelled it ' Benin' the Edo people are also known as 'Bini'

  • which one is the haitian and which one is the girl from "giddy"?

  • I also hope you Fizi go home to your Mum and Dad and get some good old fashioned home training.

Because, from now, anything you say will be met by the best answer for a fool which is SILENCE.

  • I will not argue with you.

But, As a person who has been to Benin city and also Dahomey, I know for sure where Dahomey is and all about that history.

Republic du Benin is called Benin republic by English speakers.

Iam a Biafran, I lived thru the war.

I wonder how old you are and where you are getting this info.

  • Well if you are as old as the Biafra war, then you would know that Benin City in Nigeria was the capital of Ancient Dahomey.

Dahomey stretched from the South of Nigeria, to Togo, Republic of Benin and a small part of Ghana. In fact the ppl in Hati still pay homage to Dahomey when doing their rituals, as like I said they are descendants.

But if you claim that I am the fool, I will assure you that anyone who did their research, will confirm my facts and that u are the "EZE" of all fools!

  • Fizi, you should not get so mad. NativeOfAfrica is right. Also, Haitians from what I remember, where mostly from the Kongo. Toussaint Louverture was descended from a king in the republic of benin, not benin in nigeria. Also, Henri Christophe of Haiti imported thousands of Africans from Dahomey. This may be why the culture in Haiti is similar but not the same as Dahomey's.

  • I'm not mad at all 1billy9. If you know the history of Benin City, the history of Dahomey/The Benin Kingdom, then you will know the link between Hati/Dahomey. I do hear ur point, and u sound like a "True Native of Africa". I respect ur justified views/points, but I'll still stand by my theory. Wot u have explained is not wot the other guy was addressing in his comment!

  • @fizi247 IT IS NOT "THEORY", IT IS FACT!

  • @1billy9 THEY ARE BOTH RIGHT IN A SENSE! THE KINGDOM OF DAHOMEY COVERED MUCH MORE TERRITORY THAN PRESENT DAY REPUBLIC OF BENIN! WHAT DO YOU MEAN CHRISTOPHE "IMPORTED" AFRIKANS FROM DAHOMEY?? YOU DON'T FUCKIN' "IMPORT" PEOPLE YO! FIX YA MOUTH!

  • lol i noe wat eze means aha

  • Haitians originate from wot was then known as Dahomey in which Benin city in Nigeria was its capital. So this just so happened to be a crazy reunion!

  • Benin city is no where near Dahomey.

Dahomey which is now known as the little but mighty country of Benin republic a French speaking nation is not in any way near to or related to the great Edo kingdom of Benin city Nigeria.

    Get the facts straight.

  • NativeofAfrica or is it NO KNOWLEDGE? Let me break this down to you my friend. During the the time of the Benin Empire/Dahomey, Benin City was the Capital of Dahomey which stretched from Nigeria's South, to Togo, Republic of Benin and a small part of Ghana. All this is what was known as Dahomey!

Haitian are direct descendants of Dahomey. What I suggest you do, is go back and do some research on Dahomey, Benin City and remember its Republic of Benin, not Benin Republic. 2 different Countries!!

  • @fizi247 I THINK HE MEANT PRESENT GEOGRAPHY! SAK PASE DIREK? KILL DA' BEAST!

  • Comment removed

  • @NativeOfAfrica YOU ARE RIGHT ON THAT ASPECT,BUT MOST OF THE HAITIANS FROM GONAIVES IN HAITI, ORIGINATE FROM NIGERIA AND QUITE LIKELY FROM BENIN CITY AS WELL! PEACE FROM JACMEL, HAITI AND STAMFORD, CT! LET'S KILL DA' BEAST!

  • @fizi247 Haitians actually came from every Franco phone Country in AFRICA . But their voodoo is more Yoruba voodoo and not Benin republic. OBATALA, SHANGO and Ogun are all called to do Hougan.
