I ended up with my first ever DNF on a race, and I'm rather proud of my DNF anyways. I gave those waves a couple of tries before I decided my desire to stay alive overrode my desire to finish! I completed the bike and run later, which was cake after this.
First a non-ocean triathlon to cleanse the palate and maybe back next year for this one!
I DNF'd this swim too. Bummer. :-/

Thanks for posting this up! Going to practice and get fully prepared for next year expecting the same conditions or worse waves than these. Yikes~
