  • 我不知道為什麼有人要噓這個影片 真是不可置信

  • I love Defenders but I hate that they support hunting and fishing like this :/

why do people need to eat lobsters? I hate how this video is implying that we need to help lobsters simply so people can eat them. How about we should help them, and the ocean in general, because we're the ones who screwed it up and no animal or ecosystem should have to suffer for our mistakes and ignorance.

  • btw most lobsters are farmed except for the ones sold at fish makets(fresh caught) and in tj lobster is yummy btw

and ignorance is exactly what ppl here (didnt say u) are doing by bashing someone for eating lobster..i have killed many as a chef here in sd and i will keep doing it because they are something we live off of ...tofu didnt exist back in4ad

  • i do agree here tho your right humanity is the worst thing to crap up this earth. however you can not bash someone for what they eat except if its the reason for mass extinction in the lobsters case thats not happening because we farm them .

  • If the only reason I didn't believe in eating meat or hunting was because of extinction of the species, then I would agree with you. But that's only one reason of many. Yes, maybe by farming you're not taking away from the natural population, but you're still keeping the lobsters in crowded, uncomfortable conditions, and then most likely taking their life by boiling them alive. Not to mention the environmental impacts of farming. There's a lot more to this issue than causing extinction.

  • ok A. any real chef knows thats a not how u kill a lobster ppl dont but chefs do.. lobsters are not killed by being boiled they are killed by shutting down their brian one clean cut ..B the aquariums are better then the ones used for keeping ur beloved shamoo so if you go to the zoo or anywhere they have a dolphin u are killing over 10000 for the ones who where stabbed because they where not goon enough for ur show. not to mention the blindness caused by the chemicals in the tank.

  • @darkangel57821

You are right. That are exactly the reasons why I don't support a dolphin show by visiting it.

Wild animals belong to the wild!

  • the aquariums they are raised in are huge and not crowded. you think a lobster can grow if its crowded. we charge alot for them cause of the way we raise them its more expensive then cattel ..actually they have it worse then thses guys? i killed me 4 lobsters the other day for some kids from south africa visiting san diego to make a lobster bisque. let me tell u the fun and enjoyment of all my food was worth way more then 4 lobsters feeding 16

  • @caligirl2191

    You are absolutely right!

  • @darkangel57821

And what about packing them into boxes and sending them by plane to other continents? They suffer weeks without eating or moving. And at last you boil them alive

    That's cruelty to animals!

  • @caligirl2191

    I totally agree with you!

  • You don't have to boil a lobster alive. You can cut it front mid-back through the head and still get a tasty meal.

  • It's kind of ironic that they use the title "feel the heat" with lobsters, because the fist thing I thought of is how they are boiled alive.

I will never eat another lobster as long as I live.

  • Jeff, just don't eat lobster to begin with

  • Exactly. Simple as that.

  • This is the problem I have with most conservationists/environmentalists. I don't really see the point in being eco-conscious if we're still unnecessarily harming sentient beings. It seems the only reason we should care is out of selfishness; WE want them preserved for OUR children; WE want to ensure their survival so that WE may have a steady resource for US. This human-centric mentality is what created this whole environmental mess in the first place.

  • We must realize that we are not the only species on this planet, and that the other animals of this Earth have their own interests that ought to be taken into consideration for once. We do not need to eat animals (or animal products) to survive healthily. The speciesist mentality of wildlife organizations, including Defenders of Wildlife (poison "invasive" rat species, support ranchers, but save the wolves!), is one of the reasons they do not have my support.

  • hear hear!

  • I can't take this guy seriously. He acts as if he is so worried about global warming and animals, yet he eats meat and supports the lobster/fishing industry, wich together contribute more to global warming then all transport combined, no to mention that it demands that animals be imprisoned, exploited and killed. Poor Jeff Corwin, after cooking the lobster alive and ripping open it's carcass to consume it's insides, he has to look at a discoloured carapace. What a tradegy.

  • AGREED.

  • wow i work for green peace and this sounded great one problem. the vid is talking about a sickness not how to not eat it. i cant take people seriously when they talk badly at people for eating meat. Its good not to yes but speak illy is like bashing....like one who is close minded

  • Greenpeace is also a deplorable organization. "Fight global warming - eat kangaroos!" How about we DON'T harm sentient beings for selfish greed? THAT is the sickness.

  • im not even going to correct that. try reading the program and data that backs this up before u bash the idea.

  • No, it's not JUST because he eats meat, but the fact that he is supposedly spreading awareness about global warming, yet he himself takes part in an activity wich contributes HEAVILY to global warming(more than all transport combined!). In other words, he doesn't practice what he preaches, just like Al Gore.

  • i agree but i was saying that that was not what the vid was about thats y i was saying it i do agree with you though. but still you must use paper or a toilet or even eating some of the plants or soy products you do. it all goes back to harming the planet...we all in a weird way do our screwed up party to ruin the earth

  • Someone against spousal abuse or child labor is not "closed-minded." Neither are those against animal exploitation and violence. There is nothing to be open-minded about.

  • u would not be alive right now if at some point we didnt eat meat think about it we would have died years ago had we not eaten meat. im a chef im also a worker for green peace been at sea for a cause that is close to me but dont bash someone for living ur close mined and im sticking to it man. thank you

  • i didnt say to be aginst child abuse or rape is close minded. i said you are close minded to bash someone for what they eat.

  • I bash the action more than the person. However, this not a simple matter of what one eats. If it were about one person liking spaghetti pasta, while another prefers penne, that would be one thing. This, however, is about causing harm to sentient beings when it is completely unnecessary and totally indefensible.

(Also, that animal agriculture helped humans get to where we are today is irrelevant. Human slavery got us where we are today, but it most certainly does not justify oppression.)

  • your right to once agin an extent u would not be alive if we didnt eat animals. our ancestors survived by eating animals and yes today we over fish and we are dicks but don't say it is irrelevant because its totally relevant

  • @TheUnsilenced

    I totally agreee with you!
