um fyi... the ep3 comes stock with the k20a2 and the only reason he is going past red line is cause of the kpro......

@nthornton1990 ep3's come stock with k20a3 motors that redline at 7k the a2 is a rsx type-s motor it pulls to like 9k

this car should be making more than 250hp on the crank. but the only sorry thing is it's not stock cams and other misc stuff done. You know that k20s max hp at a little over 300 all motor. can't do much better than 12s without other mods to the body and gas tank.

yes you can get kpro for the k20z motor and its an ecu piggy back system. it lets you tune your car using a laptop and a software program. once u start getting to serious mods like cams, boost etc, you NEED enginemanagement and kpro is the best

how much did it cost for hte a2 swap with tranny? my ep3's pushing on 166000 miles now and i think i need to start saving up for jsut a new motor and tranny in general lol, love your hatch btw

its a straight swap (drops right in) and no kpro is not necessary but its a HUGE difference

thanks for the love lol and the swap cost me 4k two years ago. they are cheaper now. if ur lookin for a swap thats a lil cheaper, look for a k24a1 or k24a2. the a1 is out of a crv and the other (k24a2) is out of a tsx. both nice motors and are cheaper than a k20a2

so for k20a2 swap into an ep,no wire harness needed, only shift linkage, axles and computer.

the ecu is exactly the same as a stock. the kpro is an additional mother board inside the ecu. so it plugs and fits and looks like stock. minus the usb cable that comes out of it for your laptop
