Can someone tell me how it's appropriate or well-mannered to talk to a judge whilst your hands are in your pockets? Or am I just being pedantic and old-fashioned. It reeks of disrespect (and cockiness) to me.
You should always get a lease agreement, you should never move into a rental property on a verbal agreement. I would never trust someone who is only interested in my money, ever. But you should also not be able to evict someone just because you don't like them, and they should be given at least 90 days notice. It's called living in a civilized nation.
Quite a few cases like these have shown on these television show and.. here is the deal she enjoyed a roof over her head, warmth, electricity etc.. even if the renting agreement is not there on paper undersigned etc.. she has a place. Hence the money she paid is not going back to her.
I hate dirty tenants like her. She knew that they broke the law and was unhappy that they had collected rent for many years, yet, she "helped" by being a tenant. What is she expecting? She just want to be a free-loader by getting her money back!
