awesome video,I just keep learnin from every single one of your videos, thanks a lot man. oh also, cant help but mention, It s very obvious from your pronounciation of the word "out" that you are canadian :D cheers
Hey, man. Great videos so far! You mentioned in one of them recently that you would show how to do basing on a model. You said after you put the sand on there you have to 'seal' it. Do you do this with watered down glue or do you just prime over it with the spraypaint? Or both?
Sorry, Ive been busy lately, I seal the base with Wateed down PVA ( white ) glue, then I paint the base and finally seal the entire model with GW matte coat
I used a base blue then slowly added drops of white to get the color lighter and layered lighter and lighter tints 'til I got to the point that you see here
Well, seeing as I like painting orcs I will keep painting them until I have enough for an army, I will be painting other thing in the meantime as well though
In due time, I have a lot to paint reight now but rest assured I will get to them, as you can tell it does take me a while to finish a model because I try to do my best on every model, some look nice and some don't. Painting the figs is more important to me than playing the game and I can only get better if I try to do my best everytime, thanks for your comment
I used a tequnique that I call "transparent Layering" which basically is building up layers of a transparent or transluscent colour until I achieve the desired opacity. the result is similar to wet blending or feathering
Nice looking minis, I havent started painting my Stone Troll yet, I didnt knew River trolls were that big I thought since they were chubby that they would be much smaller than Stone ones :S
Thanks, light and shadows seem to be a common enemy to everyone trying to do vids of mini's (including myself) I still need more light when I get up close. Always looking to make my vids better and easier to watch, thank for the comment
i admire your pain collection , any tips on keeping the GW stuff "paintable" I find myself coming back to them eveery two weeks or so if I dont paint having to add a little water because there drying a bit.
The thickening of the paints happens to everyone, if I notice that it's happening I'll do as you do, just add a drop or two of water to the paint and give it a good shake. the best tip I can give with regards to keeping your paint from drying out is, Paint on some sort of pallette, painting straight from the pot keeps the pot open too long and eventually will cause it too thicken quicker, I also think that the paint is too thick to start with so I thin it on the pallette as well
I usually thin my paints 50% paint to 50% water/floor wax solution, this mixture will vary depending on the thickness of the paint, as the paint gets older or is exposed to air it will get thicker thus requiring more solution to thin it out
The water/floor wax solution is about 1 cup water to 5-10drops of "Future Floor Wax"
I'm really having my doubts as to whether or not I will ever get it , we're coming up to 3 months and I have yet to see a status pic of it, just endless promises and empty appologies
Bootleg looked pretty stoked to get them, I won't bother with trying to arrange a trade.
I initially didn'y want the skull pass set due to the snap fit models but I've changed my mind, it's a great starter and the mdels are so small that you really don't even notice it
can u show me/use how to paint the black orks coz i have some and im not sure how to do the black with the battledamage aka chips. Thanks jibbyjabby123
I'm getting few requests for different things, I will do my best to get all of the requests shown on you tube, the blacks orcs will be coming as soon as I have a chance to get some plastic glue
did you have trouble with a gap issue on the back of corbulo getting his backpack on, and if so what did you do to fix it.
