  • hey that's my aunt you are talking about...LOL

  • Love, Love, Love Roberta Shore. I wasn't even around back then, but I always thought she was cute. She played in the Annette serial, The Shaggy Dog and as Betsy on the Virginian.

  • Betsy! Love her. Roberta Shore was so cute!

  • teebeesea, is right. But I always thought Dodie Stevens, was a cut above

the other pop singers, in fact Lawrence had her as a guest on a show

around 1960, she did not do Pink Shoelaces, but did The Trolley Song

and pretty well at that. She did 2 albums for Dot, then Lawrence's label. Anybody know what happened to her?

  • @dancebandleader In 1989, Dodie was singing background on The Frankie & Annette tour. She looked GREAT.

  • There should be a DVD release of hits of the 50s and 60s as done by the Lawrence Welk crew. I was a teen when Dodie sang this song and let me tell you it was always the hit of the record hops (I was the DJ). Annette and Robert Shore were my favorites from the Mickey Mouse Club.

  • Gorgeous Kathy is the other Lennon Sister. Just Janet missing!

  • Yep,That's Kathy for sure !!

  • if the guy is her boyfriend, He's not gay

just really obnoxiously colourful, like a car salesman.

  • Listen to this folks. my sister was in a talent contest when I was quite young. She and my mother had this "great idea" to have someone walk across the stage dressed like the song says while ole sis sings the tune. Can anyone guess the idiot that got chosen for the task ? He's writing this post . Man those two could talk me into anything.

  • Why couldn't I have been a teen in the 50's and 60's the Lennon Sisters were adorable, but the endless problem surfaces, "Which Lennon Sister?"

  • @donnacheer11 Janet:she was my favourite !

  • Welk was never shy about featuring current pop and rock tunes, good and bad. This would qualify as one of the...bad tunes! i recall the original hit by Dody Stevens (?) which came out when I was about six years old...pretty silly!

  • The only good thing about this clip is Rocky and the Lennons, esp, the Lennons!!!!

  • Really Cool video,love those 50's dresse's & Petti's.
