  • That looked pretty good. Im gona try that with some top sirloin and either some jack or makers mark... i love jalipenos but ill use diced in the burger. Thanks for the idea and motivation.

  • these guys are awesome. much love from toronto, canada

  • FOOD PORN

  • use Crown instead

  • How long are you suppose to leave the burgers to grill, for each side? and it also depends on how much the fire is burnin, am i right?

  • damn... looking GUUUHHH!!! lmfao

  • lmfao. "Chup"

  • If ya'll ever get to Tennessee ..Hit me up and we run down to Lynchburg and see where that Tennessee sippin' whiskey is made..I'm only about 50 miles from the Jack Daniel Distillery....You can almost smell it when the wind is right....

  • Great recipe, do you ever toast the buns on the grill?

  • condiments: red onion, grilled rings. stone* bbq sauce/ranch dressing combo. deli mustard. roma tomato. green leaf lettuce.

*stone brand bbq sauce is the bomb. made by stone brewing, escondido califonia. you may be able to find it in Costco, or the stone website. I love it!

also, you boys did it right. a burger dont need fancy marinades or elusive spices. white/black pepper, sea salt, red pepper, garlic. only thing i'd add is ice water to the mix to keep it held together easier.

  • Hey BBQPIT-

Never ever apologize for claiming what is yours. You are showing us how do to this. Reap the benefits of your labor. I have learned much from you but I am the first person to taste anything I cook.

  • HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMUM DAMN !

  • Haha, super cool video :0)

I especially liked when he used the knife as a spatula to pick up the burger... when there was an actual spatula like 6 inches away! Love it!

  • A little excess of that onion, just saying.

  • I want one of those RIGHT NOW! GODDAMMIT

  • I have to try this! Thanks pit boys!

  • I'd like to see Gordon Ramsey give these guys shit!

  • Put my barbecue shoes on and had my dinner at the nearest BBQ Pit (Southern Eleven in the Manchester Arndale's food court)

  • this video is pure manliness.

  • Now uh, I am a big fan of your video recipies and I do apologize about complainin' but MAN! What's with them useless annoyin' advertisements at the beginnin' of most of your Barbecuin' based video recipies? Is there uh any possible way you could get rid of them sucky annoying ads? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMHRMMMMMMMMMM! Gettin' rid of those pointless you tube ads would sure sounds GUHHHHHT! ;D

  • @FE511bhs Firefox + Adblock Plus= no adds

  • 2.16 - 2.19 :D

  • yeah a shots really a waste..

  • This guy cracks me up with his,"Throw on the chup."

  • i strongly object to this video. i find it incredibly rude of the guy to eat that big `ol whiskeyburger right in front of me

  • I love onions, but that is too thick. It's thicker than the burger. I want to taste the burger with the onion as a compliment to it.

  • @jcbrown that is a sweet onion and it would only add to the flavor

  • @jcbrowns yeah I was wondering about that myself it looks a little thick and raw, also bare in mind this is probably a sweet onion, but I guess its down to taste, I'd probably have a slice half that width.

  • ahahaha love it

  • meat is the man's food.

  • Thaks for the Recipe! I just made some and it came out Guud!

  • im like the best bbq guy in cali now cuz these guys

  • I bought one of those Old Hickory blades... those things are bad ass.

  • I'm so jealous. Ever since I started watching the BBQ Pit Boys I've been trying to find one. Those things are so bad ass

  • Search on google for Old Hickory blades. I don't remember the name of the site, but there's a few that sale em. And they're pretty cheap, too.

  • Racist BS if you ask me.

Funny...this guy BBQ's with a hispanic guy named Papi, yet he's a "white ass MF"

  • seriously i was "ok" then you busted out the japeleno and i lost it :( and damn near chewed my arm off.

  • pit master priviledge lol

  • I've just knawed my arm off watching that!

  • i missed something in my life as long as i saw this video..:::)))O.whiskey burger real guuuuudddddd...

  • I do something pretty similar. I get a large zip lock bag and put about enough beef for 6-8 burgers. I also put a bottle of the personal size white whine. Then I throw in some garlic salt and some onion powder. Like on the youtube you need to form the burgers very well or they will fall apart on the grill. I like to squeez out some of the juices so its not too wet. Then I throw on some swish cheese and some mushrooms on a grilled potato bread. Best home made burger I ever made. Happy cooking.

  • Thanks for English is not my 1st language

  • Oh boy, do they look good or what? I've got to give this one a try.

  • Man, I love these burger recipes.....and the whiskey!

  • What is "Whiskey Sheer"? Where do I get it? I can't find related to it.

  • it's Worcestershire sauce, available at food stores everywhere in the States!

  • Thats odd.. I've never heard Worcester sauce called "whiskey sheer" before. Makes sense that's what it is.

  • He didn't say "whiskey sheer"it was more like "wister sheer", it's one of the many, many ways worcestershire is often pronounced.

  • You make me so sad BBQ pit boys.....:"( i want to come to 1 of your BBQ's! it looks so delicious.

  • those potato chips are with salt only right? i think these are the same that were on stores in my country but for some stupid reason they won't sell them anymore. those were my favorite...

  • Except the end mmmmm mmm was the best.

  • good

  • urm... i think u mean "you GUYS are cool" right?

  • jerk

    im hugry

  • That's Jack Daniels right?

Is JB also good for the recipe?(I know it's not Tenessee, it's Scottish or something)

  • this guy always say :that`s the way it works for us...if you don`t like it try something else...even old romans used to say -de gustibus non est disputandum!!

by the way this is excellent pit boys!! were gonna try it too tonight on our bbq pit boys grilling day!!!

  • grilling day? Oh man....

  • of course, home-made burgers are always better......................... provided they're prepared by a person with decent grilling skills and sufficient cooking experience....... or at least enough to know when the meat is actually "cooked" and safe enough to eat; they'd know the difference between what is "raw" and and what is "rare to medium-rare".

  • (02:16)

    "......a little pit master privilege."

    hahaha!!! XD

    You guys rock!

  • ah, that and the beer burgers, thats perfect :) thanks for the idea! and perfect video like always!

  • so easy so good

gonna make me some of these on my next bbq session

  • guuuud job , boyz

  • Always raw, or nearly raw onion, why is that?

I like my onion cooked on the BBQ, sliced and sauteed, yum!

So why do you Pit Boys add it to burgers raw? Is that an American way to eat them?

  • Because raw onion on burgers is the way it should be.

  • Really? It is whose way? That is what I was asking.

I have only ever seen cooked onion added to a burger so I was curious.

  • Yeah.

  • America is too diverse, in terms of personal taste preferences to actually have a true, singular, "American" way too eat onions with burgers.

You're right, however, in that the majority of fast-food joints do tend to offer onions raw.

But there are even more sit-down restaurants, especially in the down-towns of major cities, that offer sauteed onions on the burger; obviously to set themselves apart and to capitalize on the diverse preferences of the inner-city, and of course, its visitors.

  • it's also worth noting that these pit boys use those sugar sweet Georgia Vidalia onions in many of their recipes which probably explains why those slices they use are, big, thick and raw. Onion sandwich, anyone? yeah!!!!

  • @Sydneysider1310 lol it doesn't really matter how you like you onions, i prefer raw onions i like the crunchiness, i've tried cooked onions with burgers once, but it made the burger smell funny and i thought i was gonna lose my stomach lol

  • A little pit master privilege...

    OH YEAH!

  • "pit master privilege"

    I really like that!!

  • Burgers on the grill... acoustic guitars....sour mash...the Old Hickory on the table...men! your life is Guud!!

  • lookin good!

  • They need to toast the buns for a few minutes with a coating of butter on them. It makes the bread a tad crispy. and I would leave the onions in for the entire cook on this one.. all in all. great vid.

  • i work up my appetite by watching ur vids!

  • thats JD in the bottle right?

  • love your videos man i love bbqin

    peace&pot

  • nice

  • holy shit that onion is huge

  • that is a man's burger

  • Fuck me, that is a big slice of onion!

  • You smell dat? Dat smells... GOOoo.

  • man this video makes me salivate like a dog

  • Looks good. I will have to try with some Kentucky bourbon instead of the Jack as I don't care for Jack.

take care bbqpitboys, your my favorite BBQ!

  • geez tho's guys sure do love there onions! but nice vid!

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another goood 1! Chup, new BBQ term. lol.

  • thats no bbq term is a back east term for ketchup. just drop the kep and your left with the chup.

this reminds me of a friend that use to apply his ketchup per fry while eating french frys. I have never seen anyone else do that ever, this foo had i down to a science.

"pass me the chup chump" is a famous funny joke in my little circle of life"

  • was that Jack Daniel´s Wiskey or did my eyes fail me ?

  • It is JD whiskey =)

  • I believe so

  • Anyone know what US department store you can get one of those hand-crank meat grinders?

  • I think Harbor Freight Tools carries one, if you have a store nearby. There are many available on the web from sausage supply houses.

You can't beat freshly ground beef for burgers. You can see the quality of the meat, you can adjust the fat content, you can try things like mixing, say, 3 parts beef to 1 part lamb, or whatever.

  • ummm Hummmmm, yeeh

  • Say, you think this recipe would be safe to cook up for my dad? He can't have alcohol but I'm sure if it cooks out I can get away with it.

  • haha. throw on a shot of chup. thats good.
