  • What size are the rectangles in centimeters or inches

  • @XchocolatedragonX Good question, I've actually forgotten (shame on me): I just checked and these measurements should be in cm.

  • Cool. If I have the patience, I'll probably try it during summer break.

  • This comment has received too many negative votes

  • cooll good origami :)

  • how many pieces

  • @TheSuperduperzach Well, this one used 121 pieces for the body and 124 for the head, but the body doesn't really have to be 121. You can use more to make a longer dragon, that would be cool~

  • ахуеть!!!

  • @10200den I wish I knew what this meant haha~

  • @TiffanyTran4 A spine?? I'm a little confused...

In the meantime, the best things I can tell are that for a better tut on making triangles, I suggest you check out jewellia7777's channel; she's very good at this stuff.

If it's the building part, I regret to inform you that I can't explain the steps with simply words. I apologize for my ineptitude and if you are willing to wait, I might be able to remake this tut and have it up by early March. Sorry again!

  • is it possible to make it all out of the same size pieces

  • @qwerty8ful You probably could, but the head will turn out too big for the body.

  • @TiffanyTran4 Eh?! Oh no!! What part are you stuck on?

  • LOVED THE MUSIC BACKGROUND AND YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY MADE IT LOOK LIKE ANYONE COULD DO IT. GOOD IDEAS

  • @mitzielarocco Wow, really? Thanks lol I personally think I should re-do this where instead of photos, I just record myself building it. I feel like that might work better.

  • thanks for the tut. Spent 1 hours cutting the papers, and spent 8 hours making the body. Now I'm making the head =)

  • @LeDray01 1 hours?

  • @LeDray01 Oh snap, you work fast lol Good job, and I'm glad you like the tut~

  • tiny legs

  • @jerielho1234 The tiniest lol~

  • Thank you for this tutorial! Its the year if the dragon and I'm gonna place a dragon i made in my house. All thanks to you! :D

  • @boombambaby7 You're very welcome ^^ Happy New Year (well, not yet, but you know what I mean :))!

  • Apparently when making the body I ran out of 5x10 triangles at the 74th row... But this tutorial is awesome!!! XD

  • That was so dragon ball z just now at the end a ball with a star in it's mouth

  • cool

  • why do u use triangles in every one of your origami vid

  • @BLOCKmaster77 It's a form of origami known as 3D origami. It's kind of like modular origami in the sense that the whole structure is composed of identical origami pieces and then it differs by the way it's built. This kind of origami just builds on top of each other like blocks whereas modular can interlock pieces at various angles.

  • @BLOCKmaster77 cause that is the easiest origame, they r easy o make then just conect them

  • @killerCOD97 lol It is pretty easy, that's for sure~

  • That's cool

  • you need 1000 papers to do this dragon

  • @crallakis4 That's odd, the kit only supplied enough to make one with 245 pieces...Plus an additional stack to make something swirl around it but I didn't want it...

  • i keep watching it

  • @tim000able lol Because it's so mesmerizing or because it's too confusing that you need to watch it several times to understand? lol Regardless, I really need to get around to remaking this tutorial...I most likely will not get to it until next year, though...

  • I luv it keep watching it!

  • Can you explain more about the forelimb and head pleassssssssssssse!

  • @tim000able Oh my gosh I did not even see this until now, I'm sorry. The forelimbs are just slipped in between flaps, not really into any pocket of any sorts so you have to glue it for it to stay on the body. The head is also just glued on, there's no pockets or anything for it to slide into to connect to the neck. Hope it helps and sorry for not seeing this sooner!

  • Its a bit confusing especially at the forelimb and the head areas. Other than that its still pretty good.

  • changelle acepted

  • I thought Origami is an art that uses ONLY paper, no sciccors, knife, glue, etc....

  • @BlackRoseFairy20 I don't know the whole history, but based off Robert Lang's view; Yes. One sheet of paper and nothing else. Things with two pieces or cutting are usually a stepping stone for beginners and somewhere in the middle of it there was modular origami which are several units of the same thing assembled together to form a geometric shape and then at some point somebody came up with this cuter style of modular origami. At least... that's how I /think/ it goes...Accuracy fail.

  • Great music! perfect to your photo´s

  • +1

    like

  • @Kw61026 lol I actually wanted to remake this tutorial, I feel like I could have done this one better~

I see your invite and I shall accept~ Thank you :)

  • is it the dragon ball z dragon

  • @mythicice Yeah, it was based off of him~

  • @Kw61026 Yayy origami makes school so much more fun~

As for curving, just shape the pieces to however you want it to look. So if you want it to curve up, just sort of bend the structure and it's okay to be rough because you can always just put the pieces back together. Once you have the look that you want, you can add glue in between the spaces to hold it all together.

    Hope that helps!

  • oh and by the way why didnt i saw this green dragon on your video about your 3D origami creations????

    *-* just curious...

  • @s0ul101 Hmm are you watching the first one or the second one? Cuz it's in the second one. I forgot what I titled it, though, sorry...

  • I can still remember the day i started with 3D origami....

I was finding a paper origami the flat one for a dragon and my search engine showed me this video of a 3D origami dragon and i accidentally clicked on the video and wallah i became interested in doing 3D origami and i really want to thank you for creating such a marvel ^^)

  • D + mass basement and very well done, thank you

  • @Nicolaszoom6 You're welcome? I don't quite understand the first half of your sentence, though, sorry lol

  • Dude what is the song

  • @tornadoblade5 It's the Instrumental version of Victory Korea by Super Junior :)

  • how many triangles dose this take

  • @16zacrad17 121 made from 5x10 cm and 124 made from 124 3x6 cm rectangles.

  • its to hard xD

  • @MrsCats101 Ahhh it's not that hard, is it? It's because my tutorial isn't clear >_< So sorry...

  • ITS TO FAST..

  • @TheKatrinabutterfly I'm sorry! One day, I'll make a better tutorial, I swear! In the meantime, please settle for just pausing it every so often or something...

  • WOW that's so cool!!!! i like did halve of it but i couldnt be botherd.........THANKS!!!

  • @mcpeanut11 Haha you're welcome and thank you for watching~

  • @nekospazz yeah but where am I supposed to get 124 rectangles?

  • @hopeplus123 There is a kit that'll supply you with it along with the instructions, although it's written in Korean...It has nice paper, though.

If a store like that does not exist near you, you'll probably have to do what I do; Cut 'em yourself. Not super fun, I know V.V If you have a paper cutter, it will be very helpful to you.

  • Thx SOOOOOO much!!

  • @hopeplus123 You're very welcome ^^

  • Oh it's Shenron.

  • @jakeminrem That it is. I was making it for a friend and he wanted a dragon like the one from DBZ so this was the closest I could get lol

  • I HAVE THE KIT I DONT KNOW HOW TO ATTACH THE STUPID HEAD

  • @FireTalons LOL What I tried to portray in the vid was to turn the head upside down. Then, break off a portion of the body, slab glue onto the neck area, and jab it into the right spot on the upside-down head and sort of keep it balanced by clamping it with a hand. Hope that helped~

  • Pretty good, like the music very much. I think it would make the video much better if you how the dragon look like at the front so that viewer can estimate how the part will be.

  • @cscchua Yeah, I didn't have too many shots from different angles, did I? Well, if I manage to get my lazy butt to start another dragon on, I will definitely keep this in mind. Thanks!

  • @nekospazz I think that one still ok right? =)

Hope to see your new video soon. Keep it up

  • @cscchua Haha thanks ^^

  • no ofence but do think you could make a sped up vershion

  • @thecraftykids That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Someone else also suggested that I make a version where I actually build it. The problem I'm having right now is that this Windows Live Movie Maker doesn't seem to have a thing where I can speed up video clips...Unless I just haven't found it but I searched multiple times...I'll see what I can do.

  • hey I bought the exact same thing except in gold/red version from korea before i came to the US. I managed to find the box brand new, and its been about 4 years since. The instruction paper only showed how to make the triangle, and pictures -___-x.. so i found this video extremely helpful. but...

How do i attach the head and the jaw together?

oh and another fun detail you can add to the dragon is get 120 30x60mm paper(small one) and have it kind of curve around the dragon :)

  • @jetplain1919 Haha I'm not surprised you found this exact same thing in Korea: This came from a kit I had purchased. Does "Jong Ie Nara" sound familiar to you :P? I altered the head and omitted the whiskers and spiral around the dragon due to personal preferences.

To attach the head and jaw, it's similar to attaching the neck to the head. You'll have to glue the larger end of the jaw to the bottom of the head and hold it there until the glue dries. Hope that made sense!

  • @nekospazz

Haha yes jong ie nara is the company that produced the origami i have!

    and thank you!

  • @jetplain1919 lol Yeah, the only kits I can find are from them~

    And you're very welcome :)

  • @nekospazz

so that you can read the instructions why don't you go to google and go into the language section and put in the instructions.

  • @dragonballzwatcher I don't know how to put in Korean characters OTL

  • grabs paper NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I DONT HAVE ENOUGH!

  • @Darkfoxdragon101 Noooooo!!! How soon before you can get more?

  • @nekospazz must go to shops NOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

  • @Darkfoxdragon101 Do iiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt!!

  • took me about 7 hours i stared at 1:30 and ended about 8:25

  • @sharkfrenzy3000 In just seven hours? Amazing! You just sat there and busted it out without even stopping?

  • @nekospazz yes nothing else on my mind well except for my girlfriend calling me every 2 seconds

  • @sharkfrenzy3000 Wowie. That is some hardcore concentration. That is truly commendable. Well done! And lol to your girlfriend, she must miss you so much~

  • i made body in 2 days head 1

  • @markyman51 Ooh, nice~ You're fast!

  • wow that looks sick btu i stil can't do it

  • @elisa44311 Can't do it? Which part are you stuck on?

  • thanks a lot, I couldn't find tutorial anywhere :p

  • tnx 4 the video .... My dragon looks really nice and it only took me 3 days :)

  • @impeatus Not a problem~ And done in 3 days? That's pro! Well done!

  • super juniorrrr!! nice tut :) i was thinking about making a dragon :P

  • @kayzap Do iiiitttt lol I'm actually making another one right now XD Just with slightly larger dimensions to see if I can make a bigger dragon :3

    And yes, SuJu~! lol

  • ty so much! it took me 6 weeks or so..

  • @XxfallenlegionxX No problem~ 6 weeks, huh? Wowie, I'm sure it was worth the time, right?

  • you should make a video tutorial of attually building it

  • @xXIReFLeXIx Yeah, I just wanted to try out a different style..didn't work out so well as you can see lol Next time I make a dragon, I'll record myself actually building it...Or try anyways >_<

  • umm how long did it take you to make it? =D @nekspazz

  • @elenaestella Unfortunately, I had to put it off a lot so I ended up starting and stopping and starting and stopping. I never kept track of the time...If I were to make a good guess, I would say from the start of cutting out the dang paper to gluing it all together, I would say 2 weeks? I work kind of slow, so you might be able to do get one done sooner than that.

  • ur so awsome nekospazz!!

  • @SRGMEW lol Thanks, but the one who is even more awesome is whoever came up with the template. I'm going to credit "Jong Ie Nara" which appears to be the company that manufactured this little box of goodies lol

  • i love you! lol

  • @migueljgonzalez lol <3 you too, stranger.

  • holy shnip ! god i woulda broke down crying at the very beginning xD !

    wifey you've got ballls !

  • @angiekklala lolol~ Actually, I sweated them off...
