Just bought one of these today. Little fucker is quick. A lot faster than my 300m was, and the 300 has about 150 extra horsepower. Not to mention this thing turns like a dream. I love it.

I just got a '11 Forte5 SX with the automatic and in "eco mode" (I'm assuming it's eco mode, the ECO light is on the dash) I was able to do 0-60 in about 8.1 seconds letting the transmission shift itself. I've yet to try it outside of eco mode, not sure if it will make a difference but I'm assuming that's what you may have done here. 7 seconds flat is pretty quick for a stock Forte with an auto!
@aJerseyThing That's what color mine is. The blue is nice and bright, but I think it's a bit hard to find. I got lucky... out of the 6 Forte's the local Kia dealer had only 1 was Corsa Blue AND it was the Forte5 SX.

That's pretty good. A hell of a lot better than my '11 Rio5 auto's 11.5 seconds 0-60! XD Might have to look into one of these in the spring. With the 6-speed manual, that is. My Rio5 is a dog.
the new 6 speed auto is def faster than the 4 speed, plus i think it gets better gas mileage, i got 39 mpg on the highway in this bad buy going 75 on cruise

I'm not the only owner that got just slightly over 7 sec 0 - 60 in this car. This video has been up nearly two years and not one person has claimed downhill run or a 8+ second track time.
road and track and motor trend. 170 hp and no torque isn't gonna power a 3000 lb. tank to 60 in 7 seconds. I have a 3000gt that weighs 3300 lbs. 222 hp stock and 205 torque and I get 7 seconds with a good launch.

@broskiskunk Ya it makes a difference trust me lol ive seen 1/4 mile races be 2-3 seconds slower with the same cars cause of elevation, where i live its about 130 ft. With the 10's that is believable but with the 11' 6 speeds it might be closer, there is a good difference between the 5 speed and 6 with performance... prob at higher speeds will it start taking off. In the end of the day i have never seen them go. There are no vids of them going head to head, i am waiting for one to come out.

No its not. 3000gt n/a is quick stock runs low 15s with good driver traps 90-92 and would smoke this. A few mods and you got 14s n/a. Go all out n/a and you can smoke twin turbo 3000gts that are stock of course which is my goal.

@bmw7891 the 11's are a lot quicker my 2.0 koup ex is just as fast as the '10 koup sx. the '11 sx runs about a 6.5 0-60. i got vids of mine running low 7's 0-60 and one at 6.9 secs. ive got a few bolt ons now and run mid 6's

Bought my SX yesterday. It is pretty quick. Accelerator is touchy from a stop... power for passing on the highway is more than adequate... have really been surprised by this car (today was first good day for mixed driving.)

@4MATICbenz I've been driving more often using the sport-shift. It makes a huge difference in acceleration. I'm not sure if we can get below the 7 mark, but I may try that next time I get a chance.

@Jaran912 They don't have an aftermarket because it isn't but a 1 year old vehicle. There are a few shops in CA that are working on turbo kits and aftermarket parts though... So... are they on the way? Yea... search YouTube. Some of the shops are posting videos of their progress.

which is quite more for 20k car hhahahahah and i got paddle shifters from factory and eco and sport mod.
so it gives me around 35 mpg and while raceing i can turn eco mode off and kick the civic ass .

i can keep up with my brother whose got a 3.5L altima very fast car.
turbokit.com already has a turbo kit for the forte koup for 4k. brings it up to 300hp
