You have not been properly instructed on basic fish techniques. Example: your comment about pointing the rod at the fish is totally wrong. That,s the best way I know of to allow the fish to snap the line. Get some help dude.
Nice but don't hold the rod above your head it doesn't help and just a tip never reel in as your drag is pulling out w/ a spinning reel... It causes your line to twist really bad
