@TheMarymc That is just silly. "the original Michael Jackson"...lol, Sammy wasn't crazy with a child like mentality. MJ might have been a musical genius and very talented, but not so much in comparison of Sammy Davis Jr. So no, he's not "the original Michael Jackson". That's an insult to a more refined artist in my opinion have some respect please.
@archangel8323 I understand where you;re coming from with that, but Sammy in his own words said he was the first Michael Jackson...he said it on the Arsenio hall show...the interview is on youtube ..he meant it in the sense that he was an all around entertainer ever since he was child...not to mention MJ modeled himself after Sammy along with other artists...so it's not a slight toward sammy, esp. if he said it himself..he knew there would be no MJ that we know without him laying the foundation
@DMZtrooper This was written in 1936 by Cole Porter for the MGM musical movie "Born To Dance." It was nominated for an Oscar for best song. I do not know who sang it in the movie and I did not look it up. But that would be the original singer. Easy enough to find on the web. It has been recorded and performed so many times the original is largely overlooked now.
