I watch this time and time again because katie is such an inspiration and talented girl to me learning to play the bango and shes a great contribution to bluegrass music, shes got her own unique style and lots of energy i just wish she would do more vids,a true inspiration to me and all.Thanks Katie.

@pandadan1 In jam sessions they always face in in a circle - makes it hard for filming (lol!) can't get everyone's face unless you run around. The name (that I knew) are in the description.

Katie, I think you are very talented,I'm sure it has been asked before, but could you tell me how old you are here and how old your were when you started playing? I would love to be able to play,but will soon be 43 years old and have'nt started yet,any thoughts or suggestions on how to get started? You are blessed with some talent for sure, it just does my heart good to see young people playing, keep up the great playing, I wish you the best & hope you never lay that banjo down.

Well thank you. I'm 17 years old. I started when i was 13. I was prob 15 in this video? I cant remember. THe best advice I can give is to pick it up and try, try,and try again. There are many great videos to learn from (beginer-advanced) or even find a teacher that lives in your area. Thanks for the kind words, hope my advice answered your question, and good luck!
