  • Scary.... but sad. Maybe they aren't the most sleek looking classics around, but they do have a certain charm.

  • I never heard of this place before.

I love old cars and live in California.

I will be checking this out.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • how much does a good preserved and complete car costs?

  • @215alessio i looked it up and one right now fully preserved will go up to $60,000 a 58 edsel citation convertible would cost that much

  • @08Demigod wow thinking that in theyr era they were unapreciated... but one from a graveyard should be 1000USD or less I guess

  • im digging this epic music...the edsels not so much

  • Save those cars somebody!

  • The Magic number is the 1960 Edsel if he has any they are the rarest and the ultimate one to find in a junkyard is the 1960 Edsel Convertible only 78 made.

  • I know a guy in Sweden and imported Edsel Ranger from California

  • @LoveSwedishGirls my dad sold his edsel to a guy in sweden.

  • edsel is so ugly!

  • I don't find the Edsel nearly as ugly as those who were there when they lined showrooms.

  • damn i wish i had some money, id go there and buy about 5 of these up and restore them and have me an edsel

  • are any of these for sale?

  • Sacramento just off Florin road.. follow the old tracks... look for Lumber yard on right then turn left..I forget the street name but he has two yards full this is just one yard...about 100 cars in all... ;(

  • Can you tell me there website (s)? Also are they for sale?

  • there is nothing fucking wrong with these babes just little work and theyll all pur

  • Is the one at :36 still there? Its Exactly the kind i want

  • Where's Weird Ed's Edsel?

  • Unfortunately there are only a handful of 6 digit Edsels. Suprisingly I see complete Edsels sell for $10,000 all the time... You can get B+ Edsels for 5K.and that blows my mind. What I'm getting at (and hopefully its just todays market) is that these cars are gonna cost more to restore than they are worth... and that sucks. However I dont build cars to sell them so a McCoullough supercharged Edsel with 500 ft-lbs of torque could definately sit in my driveway.

  • What a waste! Just letting them sit out there uncovered as they slowly turn to rust buckets one by one. Lots of cars like that near indian reservations doing the same thing. A cheap tarp can go a long way but then he wouldn't get to see his junk every time he looks at it very well. And that music is terrible. My boat was built in 1957 and it was garaged for more then 30 years. I keep it under a two car car port because I care about it enough.

  • I'm going with lot's of cash in my pocket and a few trailers :D

I have seen quite a few 58-59' Edsels around here in Oregon.

  • MY HEAVEN!!! i have a 59 edsel ranger. i have enough parts to fix up 2 more. but i seriously may head to sac and pick on up for when i build a hot rod!!!

  • I could spend hours in a place like this. Ever since I was a little kid (I'm 56 now) I've always had this strange fascination with junk cars and to this day I don't know why.

  • 5 people drive toyota priuses, and want to see all the good american automotive history go to the crusher

  • This is heaven! A scrapyard full of cars from the fifties, a gorgeous landscape that goes on for eternity that reassures you that all is well, and the comforting fact that you have enough parts to last you until the end of time. Give me tools and rusted metal, and I'm in paradise.

  • if you took a modern car and stuck it in a open field for half a century, it you couldnt just drag it out and fix it these old cars.

  • @GummygooFilms Iwould have to agree with that , The cars should be sold and restored. its shame to see them this way. Edsels Rock !!

  • I have a friend in Sweden who have an Edsel Ranger was imported to Sweden in 2008 from the usa. he cries when he sees this video

  • Soon Mr. Soetoro, (Obama) will send his "clunker" goons out there

and CRUSH all those CLASSICS into pot metal. They didn't re-sell

all those "cash for clunker" used cars, you know. They DESTROYED 'em!

  • @4freespeech

Good thing they dont take any cars over 20 yrs old.

My uncle tried to trade in an old ford he has that gets 5mpg for a new one getting 30+... they said no.

  • wow i never knew there was such a place! look at them all! there very rare now oh i wish i had the time and money other wise i would restore them!

  • @sirmugman You and me both.

  • @57Sky yeah

  • Does this guy have an Edsel he actually drives? Any Edsel Fastbacks in the bunch?

  • Watch in five years someone will post a vid on here of their Edsel Graveyard Restoration Project. The Edsel will be restored to a condition that might actually surpass original factory/showroom caliber. people are fanatics about this stuff and WILL spend the money.

  • its not a junkyard these cars take up two acres in the guys ten acre old farm Near Florin Road in South Sacramento. Look for railroad tracks crossing east Florin road

  • The exact address is 7020 and 7024 McComber Street

    Florin, California

    South Sacramento County

    easy to find on Google

  • @StoneSavant , you know the name of the property of this farm?i want go to visit this summer..!

    thank you hello

  • anybody know the right name of the street where is this place?

  • Comment removed

  • with goggle maps i don't find this place anybody knows the name of the street where is this jungyard?

  • holy vaginas batman!

  • This is shocking! I hope I can go there and get one and restore it. People back than made a mistake. Now is a beautiful & classic car.

  • That's right! We should save Edsels, because they are beautiful. Chip Foose should make them ride on the streets again...

  • The Edsel grille is the most interesting part of the car...very Facel Vega and early 70's Pontiac...Notorious for rust??? What steel bodied car isn't. A ridiculously fickle consumer public doomed the Edsel as she had no tailfins, very little ornamentation by comparison to other makes, an interesting yet poorly executed tele-touch, and finally her timing was terrible, as the recession did what our times now have done to Oldsmobile and Pontiac. The 61 Edsel became the 61 Ford Comet.

  • hey jimihendrixfan1 fuck you

  • Well just stating my opinion, you must be from USA cause up here in canada we have this thing its called a right to our own opinion

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS THIS LOT???? I have my eye on a '58 4dr near my home but wow! that's the mother load of awesome

  • There Freaking Edsel's Worst cars in the history of all cars why fix them. There notorious for breaking down rust and just being peices of junk

  • you dont know a damn thing.they werent bad cars at all, thats saying 58-60 fords and mercurys were all junk too because they were the same car you imbecile.they had poor marketing is what made them''bad''

  • Imbecile wow you disgust me and ya there is an over populated amount of youtubers that have this problem of typing before they think

  • yes,and you are a shining example of one

  • i thought we were talking about you

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHH!!!!!!!! timmy youre so funny!!!did you think that up all by yourself or did your life partner help???by the way,i find it very ironic you hail from moronville canuckia...how apropos...

  • lol all i can do is just laugh at you

  • sell them or fix them, dont let them go to waste, theres a lot of saveble cars in that lot

  • does anyone know where this place is i need parts

  • God, who the hell would wanna save one of these??!! I mean, the grille resembles a toilet seat! "You can't polish a turd".

  • @Sarcasticscum: I agree. Nice channel name, honestly.

  • @ROCKSOLID19

Haha, yes. Although it kinda sucks because people use against me in occasional arguments.

  • your face resembles my scrotum, but i wont hold that against you too bad,so ill you polish my turd

  • wow... Yet another random asswipe comment, coming from an asswipe!! LOL xD

  • some of them look alright pepole sould fix them all up

  • look evil

  • @gen456789 They do not!!! They look sad... =( I wanna take them all home!

  • my 59 will never end up there...

  • id like to have each one of those

  • hey takoma5 your very wrong edsel was fords best car in my mind

  • this makes me very sad. The edsel died of bad timing and economy. I own a 58 ranger two door and need a set of fenders badly to complete the restoration. These cars are amazing time peices and when i go to a car show and an edsel pulls up the crowd really notices because you just dont see them.

  • şu arabalar türkiyede olsaydı keşke

  • Ford is Trying to copy the impala

  • where is this place!!!! tell me please!!!!

  • Sacramento just off Florin road.. follow the old tracks... look for Lumber yard on right then turn left..I forget the street name but he has two yards full this is just one yard...about 100 cars in all... ;(

  • @StoneSavant so does the owner of these cars part them out or does he just have a love of (or obsession) with edsels?

  • @eDebate Watch the Youtube video "Ford Edsel 1958-1959", some guy in Pennsylvania has 132 Edsels rusting out in his back yard.

  • its too bad these cars were so far ahead of there time and no one liked them

  • @1947mercury123 True...Edsel would be turning over in his grave if he saw this. Hope these clasics live again ...

  • I always wanted to make an Edsel gasser. Thought it would be cool.

  • poor edsel so innocent

  • Reminds me of some old car hoards in the UK: "I can't / won't do anything with them, but it gives me a sense of power to refuse to sell them" Know what I mean?

  • Thats really sad we have an Edsel and he is great runs perfect :D i hope my father passes it down the family

  • Won't sell 'em eh? Let's steal 'em.

  • Yeah but do be gready just take one or two I bet he want miss them with all the others piled in there .

  • such a sad shame.. almost seems like he's got a grudge against them... "no one can fix 'em if I OWN THEM ALL!!"

It's my understanding that nothing was actually *WRONG* with the Edsel's.. it's just that it was being touted as a revolutionary car.. and to people back in the late 50's that probably meant it was a flying jet car or some kind of atomic powerplant... and the reality was it wasn't far removed from what was already available.

  • to sirstrongbad: my understanding was that ford did market surveys that indicated that people wanted an upscale ford priced between a mercury and a lincoln. What they ended up with was too many car choices and an ugly design

  • I believe this is the collection of Jim Kock in South Sacramento. He won't even allow anyone to look at the cars let alone sell any of them. Too bad they can't be saved by true Edsel lovers.

  • the '59 model looked way better....they did som surgery to the nose of the car...lol..

  • Really? I always thought the '58 model looked cooler. If it didn't have that "Teletouch" thing, I'd be all over it.

  • @DRZREALEST No! Deffinately not! I mean, the '59s are nice and everything but they just don't have enough of that flair and they are just a little too square... I personally think that the styling on the '58s cannot be surpassed by anything else, I mean, they're gorgeous! =)

  • maybe we should call the city on him, then he will have to get rid of the cars!!! Then all the paople who want them can come and get them if he sells them, if not, the city will haul them off, the yall can get them at the junk yard if yall act quick enough, trust me, ive done this before with 1957 plymouths

  • This makes me really sad. I had a 1959 Edsel Ranger 2 door that my dad sold to a scrap dealer for $75. I had just fixed it too.

  • poor cars. as you said, if the owner sells them now, he will win a lot of money and if he waits the cars will get rusted and irestorable. hope many people buys them and treats them well.

  • OMG i hate seein cars like this it makes me pissed give them to someone that will use them and take care of them instead of lettin them sit there and rot : (

  • are any of these for sale because this is my favorite car and i am trying to find one

  • why?

  • that is the cleanest junk yard ive ever seen

  • Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! T^T Why wouldn't he sell them he'd make loads of of them. I definately want one. The owner really needs to sell them.

  • Great Video, very sad though..

  • hey will this guy sell parts? i just bought a 1958 edsel corsair and need some parts.

  • I doubt it. This guy is very protective and a bit eccentric. He is located in Sacramento California. Off of Florin Road. We have yet to convince him to part with any parts. Good Luck though!

  • Went over to take a look at these just yesterday, they're still there!! Just sitting outside (sad), some have been vandalized by having rocks thrown through the glass, (very sad). Several look to be quite restorable, but for how long????? I didn't see the owner, don't know if he will sell or not? These are all fenced in his yard, but visible from the street. Jon

  • are maybe one of these for sale?... who actually owns the car graveyard?, and if no one does, then is it "technically" possible to just take one car, I mean, what´s actually the policy by barn finds or car graveyards?...thanks for some answer

  • These are all owned, and are fenced in his yard in Florin, Near Sacramento, Cal. Fenced in, yet visible from the street. Several of them look restorable, but for how long?? I hope to talk to the owner, and get a closer look if he'll allow it. Jon

  • My dad sees this and hes like what in the world is going on there I sure would like to take a trip out west and see if the owner would sell me two 58s so that we could rebuild one and bring it back to life!!!!!!

  • An Edsel is a rare and classic car. These all need to be saved. They are a part of American history. Long Live Route 66!

  • where is this?

  • sad i mean u did this reely good with the sounds of them driving at high speeds.

its like a vid of old racing cars.

tant noone from this gen knows about

  • the 60`edsel was also 40 years ago seldom

    Production numbers:

    Ranger hardtop 4dor: 135

    Hardtop 2dor: 295

    Sedan 2dor: 777

    Convertibel: 76

    Villager: 285

  • i would love to get one even though they were a 2tone gas guzzling screaming metal deathtrap

  • Wow I spotted at least one '60 Edsel in that lot. That's a rare car today.

  • I wonder where this is and if those cars still exist, with some many examples you'd think you could take two and make One good drive at the very least, although I'm sure whoever has these cars has that typical I aint selling Nuthin! attitude

  • Its in Sacramento, Cali, near Elk Grove and off Florin Road west near the railroad tracks and Perkins road.

  • Wow and to think all of those times I visited my Aunt when she lived in Sacramento and I never even heard about it

  • Such a sad waste...

  • im just bout in tears........

  • DewbieHaut, are you mocking me...? Edsel is classic and worth of saving.

  • DewbieHaut, what if it was youir beloved car and you had thrown your car away, and the car is worth over $1.6mil

  • well i was named after this car and always thought it was a lemon but just found out the recession didnt help its progress much.had searched for years for pics on it.The closet thing my father showed me in new zealand was a chrysler and the only thing that sort of similar was the radiator shroud thanks to the net i now know what i was named after

    regards edsel clarke

  • This is the saddest thing I have ever seen!I have a 59 Corsair 2 door and I LOVE it!They are like sad puppies begging to be cared for and given a good home!

  • I had a 1958 for three days only but I had a59 my Dad give me with a stick shift three on the tree for a big car it was very fast never lost a race but only raced it four times me & my Dad cryed when we had to take it to the junk yard back in 1969 it needed a transmission i blew when I was showing off laying rubber

  • This is really really sad! We have a guy here in my hometown with a feild full of 40's and 50's cars. He won't sell them, they are just rusting away. ...but cars as rare as Edsels thats sad! I had I "59" I loved it!
