  • I just came here to read fanboy war...

  • I dont see a difference. XD

  • characters look more polished on the xbox 360

  • Overall, I would say the PS3 has the clearer picture, although the lighting effects on the 360 were far superior. (PS3 owner)

  • @chaplaindragonslayer Yeh, but you can't really compare the two fairly. The PS3 is using the ME3 engine, therefore they're definitely going to look different.

  • ps3 wins

  • ps2 wins

  • Wow mass effect 3s looks shit ow sorry this is 2 ow wait samething

  • well ps3 would look a bit better because it uses the mass effect 3 engine

  • Comment removed

  • @dinmagic It might be because it was released after the xbox version

  • The PS3 looks better overall. Not by much though.

  • which is better??? D:!!!

  • @ADoGhOsT18 in the gameplay xbox luck much better.

  • Yep Xbox's one is better..

  • Garbage, don't compare a ps3 demo with a x360 final product . This vid EPIC FAIL

  • xbox version is better

  • The PS3 footage is from the demo, which doesn't use the same engine as the final game... -_-

  • 0:48 the xbox version clearly has better lighting.

  • the face on the 360 looks more realistic 0.53

  • Xbox looks better but the ps3 seems more roomier. Xbox looks more vivd but the playstation has more detailing with the environment. I pick Xbox because it's the console for me.

  • @geostigmaX9 The full ps3 version does not look better xbox. Shadows and highlights on ps3 is just not att the same level as PS3. PC is the one that mather though.

  • @MrTreApor ''Shadows and highlights on ps3 is just not at the same level as PS3'' Say whut?

  • They both have minor differences, why are people arguing?

  • What's the point of a comparison viedo? PS3 version looks better because it uses the latest engine. If anyone says the 360 version looks better its a fanboy

  • Just to make it clear, this shouldn't be a comparison between the consoles, but the mass effect engines 2 (Xbox 360) and 3 (Playstation 3)... And thats the reason for the delay of the ps3 version, to test this new engine.

  • @geostigmaX9 The PS3 version looks better regardless. For Mass Effect 2 on PS3, the Mass Effect 3 engine was used, which is a plus.

  • too close to care

  • Would the gameplay change for these unseen differences?

  • its always funny when some appears and try t tell methat xbox is better than the ps3 :D

  • THIS is STILL showing the demo version on PS3 ( not the full finished coding ). The final version look's better than what's shown here on PS3. lol

  • Definitely much better on 360. But far superior on PC.:D

  • @jerm26554 pc is best, but i ALL other camparations the ps3 version is much better. the animations a more limber and the effects are ven better than on pc, BECAUSE it runs with the mass effect 3 graphics engine. and i played the demo and have to say that, even if a played the pc version in high graphics

  • Mass effect 2 for ps3 using mass effect 3 engine and that isnt fair comparison since xbox using mass effect 2 engine looking close to equal but ps3 version wins cause the ms 3 engine!! but xbox version of mass effect 3 is going to look better even dough with 2 cds!!!!!!!!!!!

  • look like the Xbox 360 looks better to me

  • ps3 ftw. did you see how high res that static looked at 1:01? but seriously, isn't this kind of a stupid comparison because they're using slightly different engines?

  • In demo it was same engine as xbox's (ME2 engine i believe so).But in full PS3 version it got Mass Effect 3 engine, little improvements that will be on xbox with ME3. Xbox wins is deep color and lights (or at once overall effects) and PS3 in details (reflections mostly, not all details).Deep color is a name for mode,it is not xbox deep color that is always on (it's not option it's just done better)...Overall (for console war) xbox=ownage GPU PS3=ownage CPU.

  • @0644742766 Deep Colour is HDMI 1.3 onwards.

    .

" 1.3 supports Deep Color, with 30-bit, 36-bit, and 48-bit xvYCC, sRGB, or YCbCr, compared to 24-bit sRGB or YCbCr in previous HDMI versions "

  • @LBDragonz Color modes over 24-bit require display support, and the enormous majority of HDTVs do not support it. Most can't even use the "Full RGB range" option on the PS3, being limited to 21-bit sRGB input.

  • @NewLynxChannel Either way PS3 has Deep Colour / xv Colour / which allows better colours than what 360 offers. Hell even xv colour offers twice as many colours then FULL RGB anyway. My " Old TV " allows for that ( Sony Z4500 ) lol.

  • It's too bad that ME2 on PS3 suffer some framerate issue, this makes the game harder for the wrong reason, like Reaper IFF mission on insanity.

  • @Schaurfshutze 360 suffers with both Framerate AND Screen tearing, so PS3 is better to play as there is NO screen tear at all as well as playing smoother than 360 version. Play them and you'll know what i talk about.

  • @LBDragonz I know,I played all 3 version of ME3, I bought PC version (when Steam was having a big sale last December, can't resist) and the PS3 version, but i borrowed xbox360 version from my friend.

I even already Platted the PS3 version, you could check my psn if you want.

I was just hoping that Bioware could do a flawless porting Job,that's all.

  • @Schaurfshutze Thats fine, i too have played all versions but saying...

. " Mass Effect looks better on X360 and u can't do anything about that. Sorry bro, but colors and light is better on xbox " ...... That is just incorrect as 360 doesn't even support " Deep Colour " let alone " xvYCC " which means PS3 has better colours to offer gamers. Maybe your mate ( if his TV supports it ) should turn Deep Colour on ( automatic from the PS3 menu.)

  • @geostigmaX9

Well, I can't agree with this. I've played Mass Effect 2 in February 2010 (i bought it for xbox360) and I've played few days ago on my friend's PS3. Well, Mass Effect looks better on X360 and u can't do anything about that. Sorry bro, but colors and light is better on xbox so it's better for me. Both consoles are nearly the same, but xbox is a little, little bit better. And Xbox has better controller :) You can not disagree with that, right?

  • @Zeciarz1Powrot Your obviously a fan boy so there's no point talking to you, i have both the games on my xbox and my brother's ps3, we compaired it ourselves, IT IS BETTER on PS3, except some dlc which was completely horrid, and psssh xbox has a better controller? I honestly dont look at my controller when i play on my xbox, i dont know about you though.

  • @Zeciarz1Powrot Just so you know, PS3 has better colouring than 360 ( and sound for that matter ) thanks to the newer HDMI being used. ( 1.3a vs 1.2 ) Colouring is more natural on PS3 than what 360 offers. ( This is why dev's used a updated Unreal Engine on PS3 ). Now PS3 has sharper details, better lighting, shadowing, colour palette, over the 360 version with no screen tear in sight.

  • @geostigmaX9 Watch IGN's video review for the PS3 version and look at the terrain for Overlord. The terrain is pixelated like the terrain was on PSX games. Also, the vehicle doesn't hover properly over the terrain and you drive through most of the terrain instead of on top of it. Talking about fail!

Reviewers say the PS3 version is the best Mass Effect 2 release because of DLC, but they state if you have the money to purchase all the DLC content then the Xbox 360 or PC versions are better.

  • @b00mQQ your comparing one dlc against the whole game? thats just trying to find a loop hole. Nonetheless the Game itself (not talking about the DLCs ) IS STILL BETTER than the 360. xD

  • @CORTEZTHEGANGSTER No, MGS Rising will be on both systems. Its only misunderstood since in the trailer at the press conference, in the end a employee for Xbox wanted to announce something.

  • games dont need to have epic graphics, hell look at minecraft its a blocky game and addictive as fuck

  • Commander Shepard got a tan courtesy of Microsoft

  • I have 360 and ps3. Panel one thing I know is that if a game comes out for both systems I will ALWAYS get the 360 version

  • Commander Shepard will stop the console wars

  • This is a demo that was on a 2 month build

I think you should remove the video cause the ps3 version isnt represented truthfully

  • the ps3 version runs on the mass effect 3 engine.

  • xbox is better then ps3

  • xbox 360 is better version that ps3

  • the developers took extra time to add to the blu ray disc

  • the ps3 can optimising full better

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia like a said fail

  • look at 2:30 xbox owns that shit!!!

  • @redblaze19 PMSL !! It is only the DEMO code. The Final code is MUCH better than what your seeing here.

  • well lets see, the first image on the right you can see the girls ass clearer and the chair is more visible, thats the only difference i can tell

  • Lol half of these footages are from the CG scenes *facepalms*

  • @linkenski it's in-game..

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia Nope some of them are not rendered realtime. I played it on PC and i have a low-end gpu which caused the game to run at relatively low speed, and in the intro sequence some of the parts ran in smooth 30 frames/sec opposed to every other scene. They are indeed FMV files that can be accessed from the game files.

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia Christ Yeah sorry i was looking at another comparison by the time i posted the comment. I think there's a bit at 2:13 on this one though.

  • @linkenski this is all in game

  • @linkenski you need to feet palm right there with your comment lol

  • remember the days when xbox360 fans would be bragging about masseffect 2 being exclusive, and say ps3 sucked because it didn't have it? good times :)

  • @TheBman860 Yeah i do, lol.

    .

I've ordered so many games for PS3 alread this year.. ( Grand Theft Auto IV The Complete Edition / LBP2 / ME2 / Dead Space 2 (Limited Edition) / KZ3 / Uncharted 3 / Portal 2 / Motorstorm Apocalypse / Resistance 3 / The Last Guardian / Mortal Kombat / Ect ect..But am loving ME2 on the PS3 as it plays better IMO than what 360 version ever did. ( Not as good as PC though. )

  • shep looks older in the xbox version :? 2:46

  • @BladeTheHedgehog0 Out with the Old and In with the new lol.

  • Metal Gear Solid ( For PS ) was a sequal to Metal Gear which for your information was on multi platforms, IE ( MSX 2 / PC / NES / GAMECUBE / ect ) So MG Series wouldnt JUST be a PS exclusive anyway lol. Hell even MGS3 was on Nintindo 3DS

  • @LBDragonz aslo mgs2 was on xbox

  • @DarkOfTheMark1 Yeah thats right, which is why it makes me laugh when people say crap like ( PS3 might get ME2 but we are getting MGS5 ) lol.

  • Ashley*

  • There are only a few differences, nothing you will notice! The lighting is more vibrant on the ps3; however there are deep colours on the 360. Nothing else apart from some reflections on glass in the PS3 version.

Trying to argue on what console games look better on is like saying that, drinking water from a glass and a bottle with have different tastes. People look at the game not the console. Also just because PS3 got ME2 there is no need to get angry, 360 is getting MGS5!

  • @Wegas2k OMFG AGAIN, I have both and don't care but...... MGS WAS ALWAYS ON Xbox, MGS 2 and 3 are on XB1 GO LOOK IT UP MGS 1 wasn't as it was on PS1 BUT even that was on WINDOWS, FUUUUUUUUUUCK, THE ONLY 1 YOU MISSED WAS 4 CAUSE XBOX CAN'T GRAPHICLY and SIZE WISE HOLD A DECENT GAME

  • @MrRhysReviews MGS 3 Wasnt on Xbox, get your facts right. Also, all the games Konami makes are intended for PS, but apparently Xbox wanted a version of it themselves.

  • @MrPrototypz MGS 3 IS on Xbox ya fucking Idiot, I saw it in EB Games up the road, ON XBOX, Who just got shamed? YOOOOOOOOOOU.

  • @MrRhysReviews Holy crap. Are you retarded or something? You must have seen wrong or your lying. By the way are you 12 years old?

  • @MrPrototypz NOPE, 16, Perfect Vision buddy, I KNOW WHAT I SAW, And that was MGS 3 ON Xbox 1

  • @MrRhysReviews There is no signs of MGS3 being on the Xbox. Atleast not in internet...Or in real life, so you gotta have some serious problems man....

  • Comment removed

  • @hieldjiv Call it MGS Rising 5. Or MGS 5. Or just MGS Rising. Its the same. And i know what he meant, but it will still be on both systems. Probally...Either that or a PS exclusive.

  • @MrPrototypz It has been confirmed to go multiplatform for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC by Hideo Kojima himself.

  • @MrPrototypz He's referring to Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, which is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty re-eleased multiplatform with added features, but that's no reason to act like a complete dick, because all you do is degrade yourself down to his level.

Is it really so hard to politely correct someone? Does your e-peen and acting like a complete badass over the internet (eventhough you just belittle yourself and make yourself look like a complete idiot) mean that much to you?

  • @b00mQQ How can he be referring MGS 2 when he clearly says that MGS 3 was on the Xbox? And why am i acting like a dick? I wont even reply to the rest of your comment it was completley stupid and ridiculous. And what the fuck!? Acting like a badass? Are you completley retarded or something?! I tried to correct him normaly, but apparently, i insulted him by doing so. And theres no signs of it on Xbox and in game sites it says what consoles it is on, and it dosent show Xbox in there.

  • @MrRhysReviews And it was 100 % crappier....

  • @MrPrototypz And What Is ^ THAT bein' said to???? Makes no F'ing Sense buddy

  • @Wegas2k Yeah, 360 AND PS3 is getting MGS Rising. Anyway, like all of these thing, like Athetist vs God believers there is always one that is the right one. Trust me, i have figured that out on myself. And in this case, yeah PS3 ''Wins'' if any fanboy here wanna describe it...

  • @Wegas2k is it really i'm thinking of buying it if it does

  • @Wegas2k I know right! Man, I'm so excited about that! I think the more the merrier, and I expect to see more and more exclusives go multi platform. Hideo Kojima said he made this decision because he was sick of people asking him questions about the hardware in interviews instead of actually asking him about his games.

The main reason I was planning on getting a PS3 is for Metal Gear Solid. It's one of my favorite franchises of all time, and now with it coming to Xbox 360, there's no reason to!

  • @Wegas2k it's coming on PS3 as well they just showcase Xbox because it's the first time this franchise is going to a different system, think about it, would be stupid of them not to release on both with the new motion sensor technology PS Move and Kinect but i got both so i couldn't give two shits

  • @Wegas2k actually, the ps3 version runs on ME3's software, comes with the dlc's for free and you do not need ME1 to decide the storyline, thus 360 fail ps3 win

  • @weirdalyankosin oh and i forgot ME2 is on one disc on the ps3...

  • @Wegas2k I agree with you 100%, but there is one flaw. The PS3 version of ME2 was ACTUALLY created with the new Unreal Engine that they are gonna use in ME3 for both consoles, therefore out-dating the 360s current Unreal Engine for the game. I own and play both consoles AND am a PC gamer, but I prefer the 360 for this game due to the sole purpose that I actually worked my way through both games to develop my own storyline with my decisions, then the PS3 gets all the perks, it upsets me.

  • @ArmySoldier0470 well consider that the company itself needed to sell the game, using the new engine meant that they could test the engine. I wouldn't get that upset the core game is the same :)

  • @d1jal Yeah I know, but the PS3 comes with all the DLC as well, it's just a better version. We dish our money out to develop our own story and get DLC so you'd expect that they might give us a little something in return, but instead they give everything to another for cheaper.

  • @ArmySoldier0470 yeah i understand your point :), but thats from the "fan side". From the companies side, launching a game thats a year old on a new console for the price of a new game wouldn't do well, so if they added all the features like DLC it would kinda make up for the new release price. I'm in Australia and the ps3 version is $109 and the xbox version is like $28 on sale, so its not really cheaper, in fact the cost of the xbox game today plus the DLC is still cheaper than the ps3 version

  • @d1jal HOLY CRAP, $109?!

  • @ArmySoldier0470 yes, but remember that that's Australia, the conversion to AUD and i guess the transport makes it more expensive than other countries. But normally they put it games on sale for like $60 or $80. They aren't that expensive

  • @d1jal I guess that is true. It just caught me off guard, that's a lot of money here, especially when a recession hits.

  • I WANT THIS GAME NOW!!!

JUST A FEW DAYS MORA AND I WILL ENJOY THIS MASTERPIECE ON MY PS3

  • Screen tearing lol at 0:53 :O ps3 :(

  • @cptultor From the DEMO code ONLY ( It's NOT in the final code due to Bioware capping the game at 30 fps )

  • @LBDragonz

They fixed the screen-tearing? That was the only problem with the demo

  • @PEWNify Yes they have. I have seen no tearing at all so far. On 360 there is loads.

  • In my opinion 360 looks better... I mean c'mon on the ps3 everyone looks like they have perfect skin.... 2:49 -cough-. Shepard is a soldier not a supermodel.

  • @GZBxScarfacex94 who cares about screen tearing and the ps3's price will decrease overtime

  • @PirahnaProductions PS3 hasn't got screen tear anymore ( only on demo code ) 360 still has screen tear to this day. Both do suffer with frame drops but from what i have seen so far ( unlike some biased reviewers say ) PS3 is not as bad as 360, and where PS3 has better graphics and sound than 360 i find that pretty good.

  • What is this song

  • I only see minor differences and that is if i look REALLY hard!!

  • @Skullbunny911 While I agree graphics don't make the game(I likes the Wii Dead Rising game way better than either Dead Rising game for the PS3 and Xbox), I don't understand the Resident Evil comment though. RE has always been cutting edge with graphics(with the possible exceptions of Code Veronica for the PS2 which felt outdated when it came out) RE4 was gorgeous and RE5 remains one of the nicest looking games on any console...

  • It's worth noting that the original Mass Effect is a different game in many respects from Mass Effect 2, so in terms of gameplay, you're getting the better experience right off the bat. ( ABOUT PS3 )

    .

Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 is the best, most complete version of the game available. Sorry, Xbox 360 version. You were good. But this is better.

    .

  • is it just me or does the facial detail seem a bit toned down in the ps3 version? ps I am not a fanboy

  • @neromustdie he has it back wards happened upon this while looking for more details on what ps3 version includes, ive watched the side by side from 3 diff websites/ppl the ps3 copy was on the left in all the others ive seen except this one

  • The demo was, for certification and testing reasons, about a two month older build than the final ‘what you will play when you get it home’ version.

  • @outlaw2skate What you said. It's been confirmed the final build of the game you will actually be able to buy looks much better than this demo reportedly.

  • @KeseArcade1p exactly

  • @KeseArcade1p so what they are comparing here is a full/maxed out xbox 360 version vs just a test on the ps3

  • @outlaw2skate I was wondering why people were saying the ps3 version looked better in comparison test because I was like the only one saying I can't see the difference in the videos. I had the first 1 on 360 before it RROD'd on me so I was hoping the next one would land on PS3.

  • @KeseArcade1p Because it is better graphically than 360 version.

  • @LBDragonz Not in all the comparison test vids of the demo it isn't. There is almost no difference in the demo which was running on an older build.

  • @KeseArcade1p Well to you there was almost no difference, but to me i saw loads of improvements from the two.

  • Comment removed

  • Well i have to say the PS3 version looks more refined in detail than the xbox .

  • is it me or it lags on both consoles?

  • Am I the only one who likes the music playing during this? Looks like I'm the first post lol. About the music.

  • The graphics doesn't make a game great. Look at resident evil, that game is awesome with horrible graphics. Mass Effect 2's graphics are better on ps3, deal with it, accept it, don't argue with it it's a fact! so so long, see ya sucker, bon voyage, arrivederci, later loser, goodbye, good riddance, peace out, let the doorknob hit ya where the good Lord split ya, don't come back around here no more, hasta la vista baby, kick rocks, and get the hell out.

  • CALM DOWN! it's just a graphics comparison video! it's not a big deal! both versions look great!

  • Well they are using the Mass Effect 3 Engine for the PS3 version

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia

oh no one's talking about which one is better, that would be so idiotic!!

PS3 and Xbox 360 are gaming consoles!? True

Can you compare them!? NO!!!! even though they both play games but they are unique and both have different features.

I used to own one myself before it died in my hands *Tears* lol joke :D so yeah please don't start the fan boy talk, they are both great.

Enough of thi, I don't care whether you swapped them or not, I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! that's all :D

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia Your first paragraph answered your last question there.

  • See, heres the thing guys. Hes comparing a demo to the full retail game on the 360. Most likely the PS3 demo was a shitty port of the 360 demo, and the real graphics of the PS3 version are going to be on the Blu-ray retail title. $10 says this guy will too much of a man-gina to compare the full games because he knows he'll be proven wrong lol.

  • @DialgaMarine3 That's incorrect both demos contained the prologue, 360 demo does not have liara in the beginning its either ashley or kaidan

    PS3=Dossier The Professor Mission

    Xbox 360=Dossier The Convict Mission

As well on the forums they said that the game was finished on the first week of december and were just waiting for january to hit and the demo is based on the actual game of the ps3 version.I'm not a fanboy I actually prefer PS3 alot more for single player games like mass effect.

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia oh ok if its all ON then its fine sorry if i disrectpect u dude hahaha

  • darker textures look slightly better on the PS3 and more brighter textures look better on the xbox. Which is why jacob looks better on the Ps3 than on 360 and shephard looks better on 360.

  • I really don't care which version looks better.

I'm happy because I will be able to play this masterpiece with the DLC's and everything.

  • PC FTW.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ps3 looks darker more shadow

  • who can spot the 5 differences between the two pics ?

  • in other words its all the same... the ps3 just has a lighter tone to it.

  • i looks brighter on the PS3

  • this is fake

i saw a cmparative video made by ign nd ps3 version looks faaar better

  • @anonimatox123 lol ign... wait... you're being serious?

  • @SomeoneYouNew

why not? im kinda new in this of videogames (although im almost 18) is there a problem with ign?

  • @anonimatox123 lets just say they're not very trustworthy

  • @anonimatox123 This is the real thing. I saw the ign comparison too, and the main difference is the lighting.

  • @GZBxScarfacex94 maybe in some parts. but the jacob part is fake. i downloaded the demo and its far better, just like in the ign comparison

  • @anonimatox123 That is the right part and it's real. The RBG settings, and other colors are different that's all. I don't know if IGN used full or limited settings.

  • @GZBxScarfacex94 beats me. all i know is that in my ps3, the demo looks as good as ign says. and my tv is hd ready, not full hd so i guess it can be much better?

  • @anonimatox123 If you have 1080p then you have full HD. I mean on the PS3 there is a RBG setting as well as other colors and shading you can change under the settings to make things look even better.

  • you swapped the place for xbox 360 with ps3 lol

  • @021music and what would I achieve by doing that? Nothing..

  • Don't listen to these PS3 fanboys. They don't know how these systems even funtion

  • @800Frozone dunt listenun 2 theze xbux fanbays. thew dun even kno huw theze systemz even funtiouns

  • Comment removed

  • @800Frozone Wow, cant detect sarcasm? Even if your ''Acting'' like you dont know what i mean, you have still maked yourself look stupid. Congratulations.

  • Actually I did sense sarcasm.I was returning the favor. The PS3 is shit compared to PC. The Xbox 360 has a better user interface.

The only thing the PS3 has is better textures and Hardware.

It seems you're one of many bias PS3 fanboys who don't have a 360.

  • @800Frozone They've actually proven the hardware in the PS3 is lackluster compared to what powers the Xbox 360. They only improvement is the lighting. Looking at the terrain in some of the areas in the PS3 version makes me wonder am I playing on a next-gen console, or am I playing on a PSX?

  • Comment removed

  • @Ve3troGamesMedia

Ok, I just got my hands on this game and it looks really different from what you have up there, they already said that they used an old engine of mass effect 3 so this is the final version that I have right now and it looks alright.

  • @021music It is the Demo version being shown above. You can tell as soon as it starts up. ( From the space clouds ) On demo they are missing on PS3, but released version has them but shaper detailed and with better blacks.

  • @021music you sir = Fail

  • @021music tali is always the one who talks to shepherd while the normandy is attacked on the ps3 demo, you can see this by noticin
